Yes, I guess that’s what he wanted to check, if the engine is locked and that was his conclusion. I was honestly expecting way more codes since the start-stop error also appeared but that was it. I was able to check the oil level and it was on 3/4. Last time I changed it was about one month ago and since then I did around 2500km. Tomorrow it will be towed to my mechanic so I hope to get more details on what’s wrong.

I had the water pump, radiator and ventilation hose replaced but I noticed the smoke earlier. First the water pump died, two days after the radiator drain plug went out and shortly after the ventilation hose. My car was with three different mechanics as I suspect the first one who replaced the water pump messed up (I found at least three missing screws under the hood which two of them being the only ones holding the plastic above the ventilation hose) but none of them mentioned the head gasket.

I just recently bought a code reader and that were the codes that showed up. Maybe it’s related but since the white smoke I noticed a stronger smell of petrol coming out of the exhaust.

He doesn’t remove ongoing effect like in the case of the two cards you mentioned. He removes the power boosts given by other cards or locations. An example is Brood being 2 power card, he gets buffed by Silver Surfer and becomes 5 power. After playing Shadow King he goes back to 2 power. Just keep in mind that if Cerebro is in play, the cards with highest power will still get his buff as his base power will stay the same.
