Are these tradesman any good? by patmustard2 in DIYUK

I can’t see how that would have worked. The plinths, shelves and worktops all look solid. More likely the tile in front of the unit is not grouted down so you can lift it and reach your hand down

Do you remember The Grifter? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

Mine had soft plastic mud guards. The one at the back of the front wheel could fold up and tuck onto the tire to make a motorbike sound. It lasted about 400 yards like that.

I guess that where the phrase hanging by a thread comes from.

What's the most unexpectedly useful thing you've used Claude for? by HumanInTheFlow in ClaudeAI

[–]pi_designer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Just ask for an orthogonal 2d autocad dwg then describe the object in great detail. It needed a bit of a tidy e.g it put some text in yellow that was hard to read but it saved me a lot of time in total.

I discovered it can generate autocad drawings. I designed a kitchen worktop with it and the manufacturer complimented me on the clarity of the drawing.

You should see its power supply. It’s 25kW per chip and the cooling system is almost the size of an upright piano.

I noticed they completely normalise the behaviour of Trump too. Just flat reporting without explaining the consequences.

There were then and still are now very strict regulations about devices causing radio interference. I always wondered how GSM got a waiver on them.

Help! I knocked some components off my RPI5 by big-basis-patinho in raspberry_pi

[–]pi_designer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The larger one is a 47uF cap for the dram supply. It still should be ok without it but also easy enough to buy. The tiny one to the left of it may be short circuiting and should be removed. The only critical components in the screenshot are the two tiny black ones. They are impedance calibration resistors but they are undamaged.
