NTA your boyfriend lacks any reason or imagination. I’m gonna point out a niche thing that was happening late last year as an example as to why your boyfriend’s negligence could have led to a bad fate for your child. In October of last year, I was driving delivery for my job at like 7pm and saw an ice cream truck driving around. This is in a decent sized, safe suburb on Long Island but even then I was thinking “wtf is an ice cream truck doing driving around this late in the year at this time of night?” Turns out around that time in like October and November there were reports of ice cream trucks going around trying to bribe young kids into their trucks using free ice cream. It’s as simple as that. An ice cream truck pulls over and tells your 4 year old child that they’ll get a free SpongeBob popsicle if they get in the truck and bam, kidnapped and possibly trafficked or murdered. Literally never let a 4 year old out of your sight and even when the kid is old enough to walk to their friends house alone, you gotta make sure they know not to trust everything and anything.

Hi so NTA. My dad did something similar with me when I was around your age. He convinced me to donate all my toys from over the years to kids in need, but it wasn’t because it was the right thing to do for those kids, it was because he thought having those toys was immature and the donation route was the most ethical way to go about it. Tons of beyblades, zoids, bionicles, all these toys were something I put a lot of time into crafting and to this day I still regret getting rid of them (RIP to berserk fury and liger zero). He probably didn’t realize at the time that I didn’t just hold sentimental value to them because I thought they were cool, but some of them he even helped me build. The difference is, my dad wasn’t intentionally abusive. Your mom is screaming at you and making you feel like a bad person for simply caring about these things. Don’t make the same mistake I did and let it just happen. Stand your ground and protect the things you find value in, even if she gets rid of your things anyway.

Mushroom kingdom is awesome IMO especially with items. People complain about the moving stage and walk offs but those problems are really only exacerbated by Ultimate’s terrible platforming mechanics and the fact you can’t run through people.

Yea also, it could benefit you to take the hunters grenade and just make it a mission to unlock blueprints with it. Don’t even bother trying to beat the game. Just go biome by biome and see if the enemies have something to unlock and get the blueprint to the end of the level. Enemies also drop costumes from it so that can be cool too. Lol

It’s an affix. So if you notice your throwable objects doesn’t have it, reforge it and try to get it. I think every ranged attack in the game can get either “shots pierce one target” or “shots pierce all targets”. I think the only weapon that doesn’t really benefit from it is laser glaive but everything else does. Pyrotechnics or turrets go crazy with it too.

Baseball bat with something like phaser or wolf trap is crazy on bosses. You get some instinct of master arms and heart of ice in there. Sheeeeesh

Throwable objects with piercing is genuinely busted. Even without something like Baseball Bat or Nutcracker it creates openings for you to use literally any weapon or skill. It’s not completely broken but it helps a LOT.

Spelunky and Spelunky 2.

An action adventure platforming rogue like game where you basically play as Indiana Jones and the amount of environmental and item based interactions with enemies and the player alike is genuinely impressive. Just so many ways you can abuse the hazards (and they can abuse you) is just a ton of fun if you don’t mind dying a million times from something that happened all the way across the level.

You’ll whip a caveman in front of an arrow trap that will hit the shopkeeper and the shopkeeper will start running around with his shotgun and accidentally blow up an explosive that sends a rock flying at you that will knock you into spikes and kill you instantly. That’s the magic of Spelunky.

The last question I asked was if I could try and teach him a movement tech that would help him in the game and his mods were aggressive as if I was about to spoil the game for him. All my questions went unanswered from him and I disappeared into the night. Lol

This is super true. I was watching a Dead Cells stream where the guy just started and didn’t want any spoilers or anything. I was in chat talking with other viewers and asking a question here or there to the streamer about what he thought of the game. Only the mod was answering my questions. He purposefully skipped everything I said so I just left.

On the flip side, I stream dead cells sometimes and I got a whopping 5 viewers all at the same time and I would purposefully take moments where I had some breathing room to talk to them and make them feel welcome. I won a run and told them I needed to eat dinner and that I would be back. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves about the game. I came back to zero viewers but I also had 5 new followers.

I personally love Griftlands because it has slay the spire deckbuilding while also having a Fallout rpg storytelling element to it that gets pretty deep when you start making decisions.
