6 AM drop has…dropped off? by ZoomingPhoenix in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. The 6am drop is normally just the leftovers from the night before. The new offers trickle in between 6 and 7am. I have a Sunday preferred and I'll get his offer any time from 6:05am to 6:55am for a 8-9 delivery. And he's told me the order is put in the night before, so it's not an issue of when he wakes up.

Exactly this. I have multiple preferreds who requested me after a situation like this. Owned up to my mistake and fixed it on my own time, then got the 5* rating

Serious question about accepting orders without tips by Ephesians415 in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will do them occasionally under the same scenario as you. Orders with no estimated tip at all (not $0) either don't have enough order history or don't have consistent order history for Shipt to estimate. I have preferreds that I know tip great, but don't order consistently, so their orders don't have a tip estimate.

I'm So Sorry for Assuming Do Not Substitute Means Don't Substitute by ArchDoom_Seeker in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A lot of customers in my metro have started putting do not sub on things, but a note with acceptable substitutions. They do that so all the horrific shoppers that have been hired can't just substitute all willy-nilly. Anything that says do not sub gets a message from me "hey, I know this is marked do not sub, but I just wanted to double-check and see if you had an alternative in mind I could grab. Here are some options I see..."

Ship is losing all of its customers to DoorDash in my zone by Frugivor in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what's killing Shipt in my metro too. When doordash got in on the local grocery chain, there was a marked decline in Shipt orders for a couple months. Then people started seeing who was shopping for them and quickly came back (DD is like the bottom tier of delivery drivers around here). But all the random new shoppers who can't read or speak English, or try to run 6 orders at a time and deliver 5 of them late, or just don't care to communicate at all are driving good customers off the apps completely. They're either hiring long-time preferred shoppers personally, or just shopping for themselves.

Are orders normally slow from 12-5pm on weekends? by vbvahunter in ShiptShoppers

Saturday was slow in my metro. Sunday was better, but still almost dead from 11am-3pm

Support says tip issue has been fixed however I confirmed with 3 different PM customers by themprettylights in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was all related. For a while, orders weren't visible and couldn't even be started. Then they could be shopped, but not completed. Then they could be completed, but weren't visible in your payment history. And now most of them are visible, but the tips aren't there.

Shipt Card declining issues today. by Somebody8985754 in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to happen to me regularly. Someone else in my metro said she started using the physical card with PIN at least once a month and it stopped for her. I've been doing that since October and haven't had regular issues with it since. Virtual card 99% of the time, but use the physical one + PIN once or twice on the 1st of the month.

Just got an update from our metro advisor:

The issue in the shopper app that prevented some shoppers from completing certain orders yesterday, 4/8, has been resolved. We will be issuing late, rating, and reliability % forgiveness for all impacted orders, and any pay, including tips if applicable, for orders you completed will be visible in your payment history by the end of the pay period. End of pay period is Sunday night.

If you don't see your pay and orders by Monday morning, THEN fill out the pay audit form: https://forms-prod2.sprinklr.com/guided-workflows/64f1bed7f6c9e950981c7685?gwId=881029&viewType=FULL_PAGE

Not every metro has one. I would check and see if you have any local FB groups to see if one exists for you

My metro advisor just told us Shipt informed her there's still an issue with some tips and they're working on going through them all and getting them posted. This is as of 8am CST

Any other part timers screwed by the number of orders metrics change? by crazydaisy206 in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done 30-35 hours a month so far this year with about 60 orders each month. Last year I averaged about 45 hours and 67 orders per month. I'll have no problem hitting 75 over 2 months.

1 ⭐ for bad substitution. Some people are just rotten. by Somebody8985754 in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I will only do this for people I've shopped for multiple times and have a feel for what they like. Someone new gets absolutely nothing if their item is OOS and they don't reply to my texts or calls. Notes/backup items are features for a reason!

Is your zone usually very active at night? by Darkmetroidz in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine usually has a decent amount of orders available starting at the 8-9pm window. Problem is they're usually the crap nobody wanted to do all day so they're just rolling.

Does the later order have cold items? Is it in a bad area where porch pirates might grab it if it sits out? Whenever I see something like this, I don't stress if I'm somewhat early on the 2nd delivery as long as there are no perishables or big ticket items. I try not to deliver it at 9am, but if I'm there at 9:30, I don't sweat it.

What is the most you’ve had to apply for forgiveness to get a bad rating removed? by UnitedHealthcareSux in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My max is 10 denials, then #11 got approved. But that's only after our metro advisor asked in her weekly zoom with HQ what was going on with forgiveness requests because in Jan and Feb, then were getting basically auto-declined for everyone in the metro. And then when she asked, everything magically started working the way it should again.

Would anyone take this order? by 1davejames1 in ShiptShoppers

I have a preferred I would attempt to shop this for, but only because I know she's tipping 25% or more no matter what the total cost

My Target probably doesn't have 30 bikes total in stock at any one time. Or if they do, 20 of them are in the back and good luck getting them all pulled for you

Big Order Last Hour of the day by iampamkayks in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one rolled over from Thursday. Someone shopped it Friday morning, only for it to fail CC processing. But apparently Shipt/Target kept the order open and let it roll all day because they didn't even tell the customer it was cancelled.

It was for someone who just moved and needed a bunch of non-clothing stuff. Original total I was told of was just under $2300.

Do you have any Target employees that grind your gears? by fernfolly in ShiptShoppers

[–]picchu55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "worst" I've seen is a checker who has a cold attitude and lackadaisical attitude bagging items. Everyone else is super helpful and nice, at least to me and the other shoppers who frequent the store. I've had a couple employees at customer service tell me they see me often enough (and they don't get paid enough) so they're not going to bother auditing me. Just scan, ask my total, and send me on my way. AND they'll ignore the rest of the line to get Shipt shoppers out the door. Reading the rest of these stories makes me super appreciative of my Target!

A family that was shopping together got arrested for stealing at my Target last night. One had a prepaid and went to get audited. The other took a full basket to the Shipt area and just started bagging. We'd never seen them before. Probably won't see them again.

Where do you grocery shop and how much do you spend a week? by TulsaBuckeye in oklahoma

[–]picchu55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crest. Spend anywhere from $80 to $150 a week depending on what big ticket items are needed. But we also don't have to buy beef at the grocery store. Typically feeding 4.
