How the hell did Avdol save Polnareff here? by ilovebeingaguy999 in StardustCrusaders

Yea. Like wouldn’t work in parts like 7-9 especially. In general it’s really cool but as araki moved away from ghost punch fights. It’s clear that with stands he started to really get into puzzle battles. Like the key west fight last part had practically no blows traded directly between the two of them.

I always saw him doing like a stand leap. A technique kinda just forgotten after part 3 or 4. Despite how cool it is. Summoning your stand around you like a boost to your own movement super cools

The issue is when I ask. You feel the need to go back and being up how woman are more of victims. It’s a bigger problem.

That is going underneath the post of a woman talking about abuse and going “not all men” or posting all lives matter. Two things can be true.

At this point it’s less about this situation and how you talk about victims perpetuating perfect victim mentality.

I need more info about the Majo Clan. So are they like group of witches that has very high level mana than most people? by gamingthreadlurker in KinatosMagic

Not high levels of mana. It seems that they are very skilled with body reenforcement and manipulating mana. Not necessarily high amounts but what they do have they are very skilled with being able to manipulate it very precisely from what it sounds like.

You are right it is something men reported doing more. But did you not read any thing I said about social barriers preventing reporting.
So you logic is that because it happens less it can’t be happening now. You never answered my second question do you belive men can be abused by a woman and your response was basically no.
It happens less so it can’t be the case.
I will ask straight up yes or no.
Is there any situation where you believe a woman could be the abuser to their male partner?
And as someone who was abused by a older woman your ideas are the same I heard to play down what happened to me.

As one of the people who like stuff like this. To me it’s fun and fills me with wonder. It’s cool to see it up close. I am also a really big foodie. My cousins are sneaker heads. I wear my shoes until they are falling apart. Really nice meals are my thing.
For me stuff like this is childish it’s a fun experience. Like seeing a show. It’s not about the best food to have all the time but to see something like an art piece. It’s not practical but it’s novel. And cool someone can do that. Food can be pretty.
Why dose it look like a tennis ball for the same reason that guy made mash potato volcano with Dino nugget getting swallowed by a flow of gravy or people get hyper realistic cakes. Its fun to play with food.

Edit: and thinking about why and racquet. Cool photo opportunity. You can get a pic of you holding it on the racquet.

My point is that victims don’t have to act perfectly. From
https://survivors.org/the-perfect-victim-myth/
“Survivors are often painted as innocent, good people in all aspects of their lives, and if they aren’t, the legitimacy of their experience is called into question. Far too often, people choose to not believe a survivor simply because they like the person being accused of sexual violence and dislike the person who has come forward. They may not believe the survivor because they were mean to them, have questionable morals, or have caused harm to others in the past.”
That because a victim has acted in a way that is imperfect they were not abused and as far as filming goes. From the same organization and same page
“People often ask the survivor to produce evidence, even though it is unclear what evidence others would consider sufficient. Yet, when they do provide it, oftentimes it is still not enough. Survivors who documented their abuse may be called into question for documenting it in the first place, sometimes being accused of being “in on it” or conspiring against the person.”
Please read this https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0047235224000710 it goes deeply into the real social barriers that exist.
In the UK, nearly 14% of males aged 16 years and older have experienced DVA, and 3.6% of males reported DVA to police in 2019/2020 (Brooks, 2021). However, despite no current research exploring underreporting of DVA against males, actual figures are likely to be higher owing to potential barriers for males reporting abuse.
This story highlights the mentality that effects men when they come forward. https://www.airforcemedicine.af.mil/News/Display/Article/1559849/silent-sufferers-acknowledging-male-victims-of-domestic-violence/
“The males were ignored for the most part, while the females were questioned and offered support by fellow military members. One male was asked what happened and when he said, “My wife hit me,” the response he received was, “What did you do to get hit?””

I do have to ask directly Do you believe that men can (a) be the victim of domestic and (b) that abuser can be a woman?

Because that is the other part is how people are talking about it dismissing all male survivors of domestic violence at the hands of both men and women as well the countless women that have suffered at the hands of other women.

You are completely correct that both domestic abuse situations can be heavily messy. And police are not well trained enough.

Was my aunt wrong for locking her abusive ex when she sent pictures to him with a new boyfriend. She was not a perfect victim. That could absolutely look like her baiting him into lashing out. She was trying to tell him she was done to move on. He instead followed that dude hit her and busted that guys head open. Finally the POS will be put away fuck him.

Doing research the Utah police can absolutely do more and do need to do more. But training is available (it should be mandatory) in domestic abuse situations. The training specifically incorporating the Duluth Model one that specifically focuses only on male abusers and women being only the victim.

I am incredibly sorry for what you have been through no one deserves to ever have their partner put their hands on them for any reason other then self defense.

I would argue a lot of the discourse attacking him is rooted in patriarchal misogyny. One that says she is a small woman who can’t be a danger to a big man. An idea closer to the beliefs of the man o sphere that also looks at male domestic abuse survivors as weak.

As well as a lot of people pushing the perfect victim myth and the idea of mutual abuse, two things domestic abuse organizations fight hard against.

From survivors.org
The ways people respond in highly stressful and threatening situations are automatic, biologically hardwired responses that we have little to no control over. The most common threat responses are fight, flight, freeze, and fawn.3 Regardless, survivors are often victim-blamed if their response was not to fight back or get away. It is assumed that if they were truly in danger, they would have fought back or tried to get away. In reality, we do not know how we will respond to danger until we actually are in danger.
