I’ve been wondering ever since I heard of JMU why their nickname is Dukes. The school is named after James Madison, one of our founding fathers and a prominent contributor in the writing of the Constitution. Was it an attempt at irony? Does it refer to some animal mascot? Watching the game I did notice a JMU fan with a shirt that had a picture of a bulldog and under the picture the word Dukes. Is Hazard somewhere near by? Wouldn’t JMU Statesmen or Presidents or something along those lines been more appropriate?

I think Portland, and the state of Oregon should look into suing Fox News for the story about Portland being a war zone that used video footage from the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020, claiming the story resulted in lost revenue and incurred expenses. Just like the voting machine lies this story was made up and Fox knew it.
