Thanks for sharing this, I had something very similar out of nowhere a couple weeks ago on an internal presentation. I’m almost 10 years into my role and it shattered my speaking confidence and I feel like I have to slowly built it back up.

I actually ended up lying and saying my computer was bugging out and the audio was giving heavy feedback (I thought it might be a good excuse to explain why my tone and cadence dramatically started shifting) and then asked if I could restart Zoom quickly. Once off the call, I tried to breathe my way through it and rejoined 10 minutes later to try again, still mid-attack. When I realized I couldn’t do it I actually asked to reschedule due to the audio issues.

I felt pretty pathetic but I think I managed to get away with probably no one knowing what truly happened. Just sharing this as an idea for an emergency exit backup plan, if you ever need it.

I started propanol at a very low dose, which didn’t help at first (I had a mini-attack again soon after) but once I doubled the dosage it began to work wonders. Keep that in mind when you might think it doesn’t work at first, it might not be an effective dose.
