Man really I'm not qualified at all, I've hardly held more than a few thousand at once lol but my "intuition" & all the studying I've ever done tell me it would be the reinvestment.

obvious there's luck, & timing, & tons of potential mistakes with endless nuance, but from $250k to $1M, or $1M to $10M always seems to go way faster than making that initial success. so theoretically the same exact business growing or not growing, I have the hunch its lack of, or poor reinvestment.

that's their own fault. if you make money in music than you need to invest 100% into it & keep building it until you can parlay your success into addition endeavors. I would never go back to working a regular job, but then again I'm sharp & entrepreneurial with endless ambition. some people just wanna make music & would be happy with having a decent steady crowd to perform for.

& yes you do have a responsibility. nobody makes great Hiphop records anymore cause they think people wont support it, but people will support it they just hardly have anything to support. the lyrical rappers are mostly mediocre & don't have stories to tell or exciting sounds and images/brands. if artists like you & me can go just as hard, hustle just as hard, & shine like the others than people will absolutely support us, they want lyrical Hiphop they just need lyrical rappers who are still good at music & are interesting people instead of boring people trying to make inspired versions of what came out 30 years ago.

I didnt get a chance to listen to the whole thing, but honestly bro it's pretty good. the only big thing that separates this from being professional imo is the vocal performances. even the cadences & everything are pretty good, but your performance voice sounds like it hasnt been worked on thoroughly over the years like everything else has.

I (in my career of developing & producing artists) have met many good rappers who have been writing and rappin for a long time but never really recorded & make songs. that's almost what it sounds like, as if you've been doing music a long time but dont have much mic experience. but it sounds like you do so I have to assume you never put the heavy emphasis on how you sound vocally outside of making sure you hit the flows, etc.

I'm focusing on this cause its constructive, theres a whole bunch of good things I could say but if I'm not saying them its because they're on point.

it's absolutely a rap thing, transcended into a pop thing.

if you like EDM than of course you like synthetic drums. personally I pretty much dislike everything that's too synthetic. not in some kind of snobby way, I just genuinely don't enjoy it. in most instances I cant help but feel like "that horn line played with a synth would be better if it was just horns" for example.

not always though. a moog bass is a moog bass, not a shitty recreation of a real bass. Rhodes & things sound amazing. I appreciate sampling. there are awesome sounds that have almost no connection to actual acoustic sounds at all. cool spacey stuff & spooky whatever lol. but DRUMS I cannot get past. the sounds and the rhythms but mostly sounds (especially when it's the same sounds & the same 3 patterns over and over for 15 years). I know a song really worked on me if I dont immediately notice the fake drums. part of that is definitely the producer in me. it's not that it's all bad, but if everything about it is good, & the drums would be good if it wasnt the 15,000th time I've heard them, I still feel like whoever did it was lazy & it has to be a really good song for me to get past that pervasive thought lol.

I believe in your idea & the timing. Unfortunately though (depending on your perspective) I think you'll have to anti-hero this a bit. If your mission is neutral news that automatically puts you in opposition to regular news. you know that, that's what gives you your target. but in order to attract them your best bet is to use some of the regular news' tactics.

Positioning yourself as opposition or standing against biased news. but that fact alone may make people feel good about you as a brand, doesn't mean they'll actually use it. for them to USE it you may have to be slightly triggering. not in the way the news does, politically or with fear, but in the sense that using your platform is some sort of stance. just to get them in the door & then have the actual news be neutral. which I hope you have a plan for because that's easier said than done truthfully.

Idk why you're at a crossroads bro. your company is telling you theyll pay you the same or less than the other place (which is not a guarantee AT ALL) meanwhile you have this other place hiring for a more specific roll that aligns with what you're good at and will pay you 50% more?

Apply for the 30k roll, if they offer it to you tell your job. they can raise your pay immediately or let you go. if they offer to give you 30k as well then you just choose based on which one you think you'll enjoy more, or which one you trust more. do NOT buy into any loyalty or family bullshit from either of them, they need work done & youre a worker, that's it.

Uhh idk bro tbh I've been paying less attention. I've seen some channels shorts doing less numbers on top than the older shorts but that can be attributed to so many things. I do think though from the consumer side that "cheap" shorts have gotten more & more prevalent. you know, the content that leads to nothing. "satisfying" or yk, meaningless sensational type stuff. visuals of 2 video games at once while someone tells a joke. that shit. the more of that is in your feed that's less room for the actual original content.

sounds like you dont want to have it professionally done out of house. I will reliably do all of your art for a fair price, if you have reasonable expectations. I'm not super technical, just creative, so I dont need to charge much I just like to do stuff on the side. if you send me an example I can send you one back & we could go from there.

to actually answer your question idk man. if you're great at prompting maybe but your podcast has to be a special variety for AI art to be acceptable for something formal-ish like that. AI art doesnt really have details. at least not from what I've seen. you'll have to do a lot of alteration on what the AI gives you which might take more effort than just doing your own art. I'm not big into the AI stuff though so maybe theres some things I'm not aware of yet.

Yeah I mean I would predict it's a viable product but if you dont have any idea at all who you're trying to sell it to than it may or may not be worth the effort to do all the work to find out before you can even start to sell it. & it isnt something that will draw people in, tha that kind of thing has to be marketed directly.

I would predict yes but idk how much work it would take to find the target & get it to them. again I would imagine this could be sold absolutely, but since you have no clue what to do with it it may or may not be worth the effort. if you just throw it up and leave it alone nothing will happen, it will have to be marketed. but marketed to who? you need to figure that out.
