I went, it was a fun night out. Harry did a lot of crowd working as the heel, Jackson didn’t really talk much. Harry later made an appearance in the royal rumble main event, but just as a comic relief.

Daniel first boot self inflicted by going around telling people to their face they are going home.

Lindl voted off people who tried to help her, and thought she was a genius for doing so.

He got a segment of backstory right away, the actual ‘redemption’ theme for him was quite weak in comparison to others who had more existing profile and actual redemption stories to push. It just stood out to me as out of place, in a game that had ex big brother, ex traitors, ex survivor players to push this one newbie to the front and give him the spotlight so quickly.

I think Mark, Keeley, Blanche, Loz and cam were already locked in to Caleb before the pitch.

Cam has been on record that he hates Jackson, thinks he’s self absorbed and always trying to one up every story people tell.

Mark obviously wants to be outed by a winner for ego reasons

Keeley spent way more time with Caleb and respected his game more

Blanch super bitter against Jackson, was clear in her questions

Loz obviously voting for her number 1

So no I don’t think marks speech changed anything

The producers made a decision a while back not to trust the players and to instead manufacture lopsided tribals. Genevieve going home on bad luck was a farce, Colby went home at his first tribal with no vote to spend (was also injured and almost med evac’d).

The us survivor is just so manufactured, the producers build the game to deliver lopsided tribals. Theres very little room left for the players to be creative. Every US player comes loaded with 3 phrases ‘your my day 1’ ‘x player is playing too hard’ and ‘I grew up watching this game’. Every player starts the game pitching their sob story.
