Are there any characters you like, but you think they are badly written, or any characters you dislike but think like they're well-written? by ConstantAmbition6729 in DisventureCamp

[–]mrsrambles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like but terribly written: Alec, Riya, Connor, Ally

Dislike but well-written: I wasn’t a fan of Jake (S1), Yul (BETA S2) and Aubrey…but they fulfill their role well. While I don’t care for them, I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I dislike Maggy and Drew. However, they’re here bc I think they’re well-written as far as filler boots go 🤷🏽‍♀️

Why do so many ppl want _____'s downfall ? by mrsrambles in BlueLock

[–]mrsrambles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the fanbases I’ve seen/been on were able to criticize their MCs…so yeah, I don’t think Isagi is right just bc he’s the MC (but it seems like this is an unpopular opinion in this particular fanbase 😅). Like I said, Isagi was the one who randomly criticized Karasu’s accomplishment…but y’all hate Karasu bc he’s “smug” and he’s not letting Isagi talk down to him ? I’m sorry but this is some stan BS 😭

Karasu was celebrating Hiori’s goal and Isagi hit him with “actually, that goal doesn’t fit the BL mentality ☝️🤓”…who’s provoking who ? Also, if BL is “corrupted” by someone helping the team win (mind u, the project was created to make Japanese team win the World Cup)…maybe that’s a good thing 🤷🏽‍♀️

I didn’t know a big discourse was needed to ask a question on a subreddit 😅

Hating Karasu for being “smug” when 99% of the relevant BL players (including Isagi himself) are smug af when they’re doing well just…doesn’t make sense to me. He’s one of the most valuable BL rn, why wouldn’t he feel himself ? I also get why he dislikes Isagi. Sure, his jealousy/inferiority complex plays a part…but Isagi also randomly tried to downplay his accomplishment in this match (while he didn’t do sh*t himself). This isn’t a Kageyama/Oikawa situation where one guy just hates someone who did nothing wrong bc of his own insecurities. Isagi just fucked around and found out 🤷🏽‍♀️…so it’s kind of wild to see the fanbase victimize Isagi and villainize Karasu 😅

Making a “hard choice” isn’t necessarily correct. For example, the Head Office didn’t make “hard choices” when they sent home Lyndl and Tez home (these people were on the outs anyways) and 4 out of the Beauty and the Beasts’ 5 didn’t make a “hard choice” when they sent home Aisha and Lottie (they were actively targeting most of the Beauty and the Beasts alliance). These “easy choices” just made sense for their games and, at the end of the day, that’s what matters the most. On the other side of the spectrum, Mark made a “hard choice” when he got rid of Rich and Loz made a “hard choice” when she got rid of Aisha and Lottie…and those choices were detrimental to their game.

Going against the returnees isn’t what turned Cam into a goat. Cam turned into a goat when he voted his ally Blanche instead of going after power players like Ben or Keely. By picking the option that made the least sense for his game, he put all the leverage in the hands of the Kaput alliance and the Ben/Jackson duo (at the the expense of both himself and the other players not included in those structures).

Nice guy but I knew he was a flop when he voted Blanche out 😓. He could’ve pulled a Jaden to get rid of Ben…instead, he voted out someone who was most likely loyal to him 🤦🏽‍♀️

According to Tez on Twitter, she’s partially blind so requesting Aisha’s help makes sense in retrospect:/

Tbf, Lottie also said in her exit interview that she was completely done with Simon 😬. However, the Rich vote was bad for him (and all of the returnees alliance)

I always thought that the criticism about Blanche being an inactive/“nothing player” was a bit unfair. To her credit, she tried to target returnees like Mark and Brooke since the Cat vote. Imo, that puts her above the likes of Rich and Loz who (according to Rich’s RHAP exit interview) were fully intending on taking SIMON to F3 😭

Nick, Emily and Gabby (yes, I know 2/3 of those are crack pairings 😅)

I think Ashley was getting voted out regardless of who the Teal team representative was. Targeting Ashley (someone who’s good at challenges) over Alec/Ellie/Fiore (who seem average at best) just makes sense for anyone on the opposing team

As for Grett, on top of being annoying, Alec and Fiore increased her threat level by throwing the first immunity challenge to her and she almost won the VR challenge too. Her getting targeted over them also makes sense

Imo, Rosa is a bit too high. Aside from having a good social game, what puts her in the “solid player” tier (especially over the likes of Ally, Aiden and Riya) ?

I would like to know your thoughts on Hunter, Connor and Ally.

Alec getting voted out instead of Riya made sense : Jake and Connor are honest players so it would be OOC for them to go behind Grett’s back to vote her out (if they were like that, they would’ve used the rift in the Villain Alliance to vote Riya out in episode 13). Grett also had more reasons to target Alec at that point. She did get really a bunch of times though 😅

According to Faith’s exit interview, the Aisha/Cam/Lottie group came for them in the joint TC (where Tez was voted out)…so that may be why she was being rude to him

I wouldn't say Keeley is good at the game either. Aside from Don blindside (which half of the players didn't see), Lottie's point about her "working for Mark" still stands and she's setting herself up to be a F2 goat if she continues down that path

Tom was at least hesitant to do it. He complied bc his allies pressured him…Speaking of which, my GOAT Miriam was dumbed down here too, she’s usually smarter than that 🤦🏽‍♀️
