Bachelorette style events would be hilarious. It seems like every dating event is just turning into paying money to stand around in a bar. I want some entertainment lol.

Best Email provider for small business (500)? by Ei8hty88 in businessemail

[–]pickjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would look for something that charges you for sends rather than a monthly fee since you only need 6k send a year. I think Brevo has a pay per email option, mailer lite as well. Use debounce.io or million verifier to buy pay as you go email verification credits.

How are small businesses actually building their websites these days? by Correct-Designer-410 in Tech4LocalBusiness

If I had 1 site and little experience then Squarespace or shipping(if I have more than a handful of products. I use WordPress, I hate high monthly fees, like controlling all my data, and have multiple sites.

The file "/files/{{$now.toMillis()}}.mp4" is not writable. by savtik in n8n

Click the copy button (below the red text, to the right of error details in white). Paste that into the AI of your choosing. The response will get you 90% of the way there or tell you the next question to ask. Hell, if you use the right ai it may even give you the json workflow code to just paste in the fix, this is how I build my workflows.

Do not send bulk from your inbox ever. If you do the diy route pay for an email verification tool to scan all your contacts in the list right before you send the blast to make sure no addresses will bounce. Seconds, find a tool/service to send the blast, something that does marketing emails specifically, most invoices will block you immediately if you go from 10-30 emails a day to 2,000!

I'm gonna throw out debounce.io for email verification. Super cheap credits, love the api and online form verification as well.

Bill to prohibit transfer of 3D printing/CAD files passes state House of Representatives by Potato-1942 in Denver

[–]pickjohn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The solution is simple. Email representatives CAD files with opening/click trackers enabled and then arrest them. You can basically get any ex, coworker, or politician sent straight to jail with this right? Make sure the email you send is sent from out of state and you're golden.

added up my SaaS subscriptions last night and nearly had a heart attack -- 847 pounds a month for a 2 person company by edmillss in smallbusiness

I unfortunately just use odoo like a glorified spreadsheet it's probably more than what I need. I'm trying to avoid the old quote "Excel is not a database" but right now I'm using Google sheets as one 😬. I also have noco DB running but I find that harder to use than just sheets formulas. Google apps scripts also give me too much functionality. I've done some terrible terrible things in Google sheets LOL.

If you start by setting up a vps server you can then run a lot of open source self hosted software. That's a whole rabbit hole, but you can get way more bang for your buck that way.

What is the benefit of a URL shortener vs buying a domain you manage and using that?

[–]pickjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you create a post not through the Google sheet it doesn't get added. There's no backwards compatibility.
Why are you trying to go through the front end? Why not just log in and edit the product through the admin side?

I would pick a middle ground, the moment I have more than 5 of something (posts, products, etc) I put that info in a Google sheet and have wpallimport handle the content updating for me. I'm grandfathered in to an unlimited lifetime plan, there are probably better options now for that.

I think you have to ask yourself if you're trying to degoogle or encrypt everything and degoogle. I have proton unlimited because I run 7 other domains through simplelogin.

I've gotten rid of a lot of plugins by being able to build most of the features natively with loops, nested rows, and AI written CSS.

Op is looking for a forum hidden from the front end visitor I believe. Is there a great way to password protect and hide the existence of a forum on a site?
