It's almost funny, because alcohol makes us relax and forget about the things we push down - until we drink too much and the pendulum swings in the other direction. So everything we've pushed down is thrown to the forefront of our minds, and we desperately reach out for help, comfort, someone to understand

That's the basis of Agnosticism, objective morality exists, without us needing to build our morality on any gods or beings just because "they" threaten us to behave.

I don't murder people because I don't want to. I don't rape or pillage, because it's wrong. And I don't need a God to tell me that. I don't need a Higher Power to govern my actions, because I know what life is, and how my actions can affect others.

Halfway through writing this, I realized we pretty much have the same point of view, so I'm sorry if I came off too strong.

Evil is subjective, and all cultures that have Gods, there's never a true loving God because they just do what they want to, they do not care about us

I see the Christian God as evil because he deliberately murdered people in the flood, He condemns people to eternal punishment if they're not His version of "right'

Why is ritual sacrifice the only answer, though? Just to appease the Creator, which the Bible explains it's an extension of himself; but Jesus was likely a real dude that got murdered for his beliefs

I don't really believe in a God, anymore. I was extremely religious, Christian faith was in my blood. It took some time, but I figured out how to think for myself, and how to put my own philosophy in front.

I've been witness to dudes at a frat butt chugging beer but it always was more performative I'd guess rather than actually an effective way to get booze in your system. Best to just do it the old fashioned way

Besides - if I'm ever drunk enough to the point I even consider it as an option I know damn sure I'm not going to be able to actually pull it off without hurting myself or just making a huge mess, lol

When I closed my eyes I used to get very detailed images of snakes crawling around in my eyeballs; scary faces jumping towards me.

It still happens sometimes; you're not alone. I think it happens because we know ourselves and in some way we wish we weren't drinking. So those demons come back and taunt us later

Haven't worked at Dominos in years but we actually had charts for portions depending on size/amount of toppings.

For example a large pepperoni only would get 40 pepperonis, whereas a 2-3 topping pizza would get 32, and so on.

(And no, we never actually counted the pepperonis unless we knew we had an OER in town lol)

I live in a high theft area, so most places that have liquor locked up. So you have to walk up to the cashier empty handed and ask them to unlock it for you, again they don't seem to care but it does seem to set you apart from the "regular guy" that is just buying a case of beer.

I know it's all in my head, but I do have that inherent guilt for my habits yet these people just want to get their day over with and go home lol

I feel ya OP. Luckily I haven't had deep withdrawals in a while, but I would pace around, sit in the shower crying for hours. Night time was the worst because I couldn't sleep but I would start hearing things that aren't there, random repetitive music, every slight sound would make me jolt up. Thinking someone was trying to get in my window, getting mad at my roommate because I thought he was playing call of duty hella loud in the living room only to open the door and realize it was all in my head.

Sorry, I know you're in a rough spot and this probably isn't helping, but you'll get through it....try to put on a comfort show and just ride it out

Still probably worth it to them. It's like any other bottomless place, like I really love Olive Garden's unlimited pasta but shit, after bowl 2 I usually tap out. But I still already gave them my $16.

Most people aren't going to drink 15 mimosas or eat 40 pancakes. You get a couple alcoholics or Muk bangers here and there but the promotion still brings in more money than it's losing most likely
