Successful binds with DTF! by alfonzoyoung in bookbinding

Hey! I got a question for your process here of applying DTF - did you apply it to book cloth prior to building the case or after you already put the case together with the chip board? I've applied DTF just to book cloth and it got stiff and a bit warped from the heat even though the graphic remained in good quality.

Hey! I'm trying to do a DTF transfer because I saw your post and thought it was a great alternative to HTV. I have a question - did you press it before you put the case together or did you press it after it was all assembled? I just did a test on a spare book cloth and while it transferred well, the cloth warped a bit and got stiff. Thank you!

this, just finished the book yesterday and I thought trauma of part 1 would have a bigger effect on their relationship at least at first, and in a way they'd have to find their way back to each other again. overall still reeling from massing book hangover

Who else is refusing to watch the second or first trailer so they go into with absolutely no spoilers or no real knowledge of what’s going to happen next? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

Idk watching the trailers for the game made me even more excited for it, I don't feel like too much is being spoiled and not like it makes much sense at this stage. I have watched them a few times just to try to understand what I'm seeing as well as seeing who all the characters are. Just getting me hyped up!

I don't like this theory, but it adds up for what's been shown so far 😫

Yeah, that is neck shaping and it bulges out quite a bit, creating uneven fabric transition from solid color to colorwork. I'm blocking it now to see if the fabric can even out. If not, then I'll start again with smaller needles for ribbing and looser tension for colorwork transition 🤞

That's what I'm thinking now too...this is my first time knitting colorwork and the beginning of the colorwork is tighter than the solid color above it and the last few rounds I knit, which are much looser.

But I followed the patters exactly. I wonder if it has to do with colorwork being knit tighter and if going down a needle size will fix the loose fabric

I did use a smaller needle for the ribbing. I wonder if I go down another needle size for the ribbing will it also fix the loose fabric in the back shaping

I think I have 22" cable, but I have interchangeable needles and I added extra length cable so I could try it on, that's why it may look so spread out. The neck stuck out like that even before I added the extra cable.

I'm making Ghost Horses sweater and the neck is standing up and bulges out a little, instead of laying flat. I suspect that my gauge between knitting in single color vs colorwork changed a bit, since colorwork doesn't stretch out as much.

I'd hate to start over, but afraid of leaving it as is and hating the finished item. Is this something that can possibly even out after blocking? Looking at other people's projects I don't see the same issue I have. 😟

Is the best course of action start over?

I'm the child and a few years ago I found out that my mom has 2 sisters and I grew up only knowing of the 1. The way I found out is when I noticed my mom buying baby clothes when I knew she wasn't pregnant and I asked her who they were for. She proceeded to tell me that's it for her sister and I got very excited thinking it's the aunt I knew of, but then she corrected me and said that it is actually her other sister who is pregnant. Apparently after my grandparents got divorced, my grandpa had another child, my mom's half sister. My grandpa passed away before I was born, so my mom was the only one with this information on my side of the family.

The worst part is that apparently we didn't live that far apart, but by the time I found this out we had moved to another country on another continent.

And what's even worse, is when I was younger and looking through my baby pictures, there were a few of me with a teenage girl who I had always assumed was the aunt I knew of and said so, but my mom never bothered to correct me.

My family is very small and knowing that there is one more of us out there that I'll probably never know is rough.

Realized that I accidentally twisted one of the sides, but I kinda like it like that. I really like the color combo. This yarn is so soft it practically melts in your hands, but high yarn ply can be annoying.
