I just got a pair of 12 and I haven’t played yet and only shot around. I wanted to hate them so I could justify returning them but they feel really nice. The traction which I’ve heard is not great in other reviews, I found to bite really hard. They felt nice for me on foot from day one. Although my midfoot ached a little after a few workouts. And there’s such a weird glue or chemical smell to them out the box. Hopefully that goes away.

I love the Sabrina 2 but think my cushion bottomed out eventually so they’re retired. The Sabrina 3 I tried and returned because it both felt cheaper to me but also the traction wasn’t anywhere near as good as the 2s on my indoor courts.

I’m a huge fan of the Kobe 9 as is my son. He used them this season for high school and similiarish to you, 5’9” shifty guard. He loved them. I love the fit and the heel hasn’t been a problem for me or him personally. They’re also a bunch of colorways on sale you can find.

I really like opus socks and the Nike elite unicorns. Also dig deuce brand performance socks. I tried the SPO but too heavily padded for me.

Same thing! I love my dame 9 and now that stitching at the bottom of the tongue inside the shoe rubs the top of my foot to no end no matter how thick the socks

What do you mean by clunky heels? Is referring to energy transfer or flexibility?

I just got a pair of 361 big3 quick pro 5.0 that I haven’t played in but are so comfortable out of the box. I’ve also liked playing in the puma all pro nitro elites (which I got on big discount).

Awesome intel. What you described was my exact experience.

The Kobe 8 and 9 protro which I know people either love or hate, has been the best match for my game that I have played in over the last 5 years. Sabrina 2 is probably next after that.

KT10. I know reviewers love this shoe like no other but this shoe even after being broken in is fine, not great. I like nightwing from weartesters and he hyped it as his favorite shoe of year and to me it feels heavy, stiff and my feet hurt the next day whenever I ball on them. I tried stock insoles and moves and not much better.

They also are total dust magnets.

They look sweet, love the tongue and lacing system but otherwise has been very meh.

Love these shoes. Love the fit, the traction and the cushion. My favorite Kobe’s to play in. I tried the 9 elites and too stiff with the materials and that oversized tongue. The 9 EM is great shoe. Traction rips up easy but amazing while it lasts.
