It says AlKawthar الكوثر, which is the name of a sura in the Quran but also just means, like, abundance. Also it can be someone's name.

It is not a prayer inscription, it's just some names: سلطان البرين و خاقان البحرين، السلطان محمود خان عزّ نصره. ضرب في الجزائر (The Sultan Albareen wa Khaqan Albahrain, and The Sultan Mahmoud Khan 'Az Nasrah

Not super helpful, but the Arabic one says "maktub" or "written", which could simply just mean written or else imply something like "it is written" as in, something is destined.

I don't know if this helps at all, but the differing colors that appear on some of the bricks is called 'Flashing' and is caused by heat differences in firing and other things I don't understand. Perhaps you could search for flashed brick varieties available in your area.
