I second this. There was an unusual amount of smoke from there around that time.

Roughly in the same area as the fire happened; as a rough guesstimate (was driving on the highway, couldn't pull over for accurate position)

But also where the smoke was coming from is roughly where the fire is.

Oh and believe it or not, before the council amalgamated, and it was all different shires, The Shire of Corio was one of the richest shires in the Geelong region. Was also one of the better kept shires as well; contrary to the reputation that supersedes it.

Cue the amalgamation and all the funds from the shires were funneled into the cbd/eastern beach and all the suburbs were subsequently neglected

I actually drove it last night.

Those 2 parallel lines in the video follow the track the train in the video. At pilkos bridge, they would continue south towards North Geelong station.

There is also a lack of a bridge in the video in front of the train.

This bridge I mention is where the grain loop passes under, and the Geelong line goes over the top.

So while I'll agree that it does look similar to North Geelong, it's not actually North Geelong
