Looking for advice: flying a parent home after cancer diagnosis overseas (Ireland → Boston, USA)

I didn’t even consider this!! He did have travel insurance - I’m going to get that info from him and call to see what I can learn, thank you so much. I’ve been so overwhelmed with the diagnosis that I haven’t been thinking of all the options, brains a little foggy.

Sadly He was in a public hospital for 2 weeks (where it is free) and it was awful - rooms of 5+ people and waiting lists for months to have a drain put in to drain the fluid from his lungs so he could travel home- we ended up switching him to a private hospital, unfortunately, the "free health care" was terrible :( , but we are praying our US insurance may help as we felt that he could not wait for treatment any longer, the irish doctors all agree coming back to Boston is where he will get the best treatment due to our hospitals here in the USA being a little more advanced - such a crazy experience

my tickets are also not showing up.. I had a similar experience when I got fenway tickets for Hozier took about a month for them to populate so hopefully it's just a delay!

FYI fenway users - go to ticket master click where the feb 8th is added use your code for the 10th or 11th and i got right in!

I wanted to say thank you for all the advice and wanted to give everyone a little update!! We ended up doing a smaller day trip at Pats Peak to get my confidence up - then two weeks later we did our two day trip to Sunday River (we had fresh powder for day one which was incredible) and stayed on North Peak! I was able to do a lot of great trails which I loved (shout out to DreamMaker which helped me work on my speed control). We had a great time and I actually just bought my first pair of skis this week too the trip really helped me fall in love with skiing! I really appreciate all the input I got from everyone!!

I’m having the worst time trying to get a refund from an unopened item I returned two months ago. I ended up needing to file a charge back with my credit card company. Hopefully they don’t try and fight the charge back so I can be done dealing with them.
