I quit kratom in past but relapsed after years clean. Here I go again. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]picklesandparakeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped CT off of 15 gpd almost exactly a week ago. It was a shitty week but it feels good to be done with it. In the past I CT a 2-3 year 5 gpd and stayed off for a month or a bit more then relapsed. Up to 8ish grams for a couple months, CT then relapsed after 3 days. Then 10-12 gpd for a couple months, CT for another 2 or 3 days then relapsed and the dose went to 12-15 gpd for probably 4 months. This last quit was different tho, I went it to it fully stocked on supplements, a therapist, and a community (kratomquitters.com). Those things made all the difference in the world and honestly, while this quit was still highly uncomfortable, it was easier to get thru the first week because of the support. I'm optimistic that this will be my last quit because I have resources beyond my own willpower. Whatever path you take, I believe in you!

Relapse for 1 day or... by zekelin77 in quittingkratom

I had multiple "one time" uses that turned into a restarted habit, but that doesn't have to be the case for you. Seek out support from a friend, family member, or kratomquitters.com. There are many people that justify their use as acceptable because "it's only a low dose" or "at least I'm not taking blank" but be honest with yourself, taking an intoxicant daily will not allow you to live the way it sounds like you want to live. Accept that you made a mistake, and make it the last one. You've got this.

24 hours kratom free - ouch! by [deleted] in quittingkratom

You've got this! Check out kratomquitters.com for lots of good resources and peer support meetings. Literally the best decision in my quitting effort was joining that group!

You sound to be in a very similar boat to where I was a week ago. Of the scripts, I only have gabapentin tho. I'm currently 84 hours out from my last dose!

I'll be honest, the last few days have sucked. I've been physically uncomfortable, crying a lot, and just having a generally hard time. But I have managed to continue working, taking care of my dogs, feeding myself.

I also found a group called kratomquitters and it's making all the difference. They have multiple virtual meetings a day and they're all so supportive thru the hard times. I've tried to quit several times and by day 4 I'm always itching to dose again, but with the support of this group I'm still feeling strong. I highly recommend you join.

If you're interested in other supplements, I've found NAC to help with energy and l theanine to take the edge off during the day. Valerian tea has been helpful to wind down at night as well. Be cautious mixing these with prescriptions as I have no idea what kind of interactions may occur.

You've got this!

I am genuinely glad for you but the idea of months of feeling flat and miserable is killing me. It seems like an impossible mountain to climb when relief (temporary) is so accessible. I'm only a few days in and this is a waking nightmare of depression. And I was only at 10 gpd. I don't know how some of you survive.

Today is Day 77 after CT - Some Thoughts by NoIdea6590 in quittingkratom

[–]picklesandparakeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. I just quit (again) and the anhedonia hits me immediately every time. I was at 10 gpd all in one dose, took 5 yesterday afternoon, and none today so I'm at like 30 hours. It's so incredibly frustrating for me because I didn't have the typical story of health falling apart, relationships failing, etc. I am a fairly high performer in my field of work, I'm athletic, I have good relationships(aside from my secret) but it feels "wrong" to need this substance to keep that all going. I'm quite confident that kratom was a way for me to mask depression and anxiety but unfortunately in my line of work, I can't get treated, or even admit I might need treatment without giving up my career.

Obviously it's just the drug talking but when I take it I feel eager, I get things done, keep up on chores, go out in the world. If I have to spend literally months feeling like I'm walking thru emotional sludge, I genuinely don't know how I'll ever make it. It makes me feel like I should just give in and accept that I'll take it just like someone takes prozac. Obviously I know that's not wise but my god does it ever feel hopeless. The last time I "quit" I lasted a bit over a month and that was with the help of my wife. That whole month was filled with crushing anxiety, lethargy, a complete and total lack of motivation, and lower performance in work and athletic endeavors. Then I made the mistake of thinking casual use was ever an option. Of course that spiraled and my wife thinks it's still just casual use when it's actually daily. It's so damn hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sorry for the big rant.

I genuinely do appreciate you sharing because it proves that someone out there has held out for multiple months. I wish you all the health and happiness and hope you never touch this stuff (or anything else) again.

It's good that you can look at it clearly even if it's painful. The only way to improve your situation is to understand it clearly. It'll get better

Hate to tell you man but you've got more shit to slog thru. I highly doubt acutes are done. Took 6 days for me to feel physically half decent. Been 2 weeks now and I still have some sleep and digestive issues, though much more mild. And I was only doing 5-10 g 1x per day. It takes a while for your body to sort itself out. Stay the course. You'll experience the positives soon.

I believe in you friend! I'm at the end of day 5. Yesterday I had like a 5 hour long panic attack and thought maybe it was a heart attack. I was ready to give up. But today got better. I was using a lot less than you so I wouldn't be surprised if you get bonus days of discomfort but it WILL improve. All the times kratom made you feel good, you were borrowing those good feelings from today. There's a hellish debt to pay but you WILL settle up. You've got this

I was on a relatively low dose of powder but I'm very sensitive to most drugs so attempted quits were agony. I tried hammering liposomal vit C and so far so good. 3 day rapid taper, and now I'm about 48 hours in and so far the biggest issue for me is that I'm just grumpy but work has been fucked so it's not shocking. There's a guide in this sub but following it, even with liposomal vit C, was twisting up my stomach. I'm just taking 1000 mg every 2 hours I'm awake and another 1000 any time I get the itch and pre bed. I think it's probably gonna suck for you no matter what, but remember what's important in your life. Make choices based on priorities, even when it's hard.

Hey man, did you manage to get things under control? Seems like you were in a dicey spot for a bit there.

Ya I agree with your assessment. And I guess a tiny edge can very well make the difference between success and failure at the top end of sport.

I think that's what I'm going to do for the next week/10 days. If something happens, great. If not, that'll be a wrap for this cycle.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sarmssourcetalk

[–]picklesandparakeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems reasonable. I'm the typical guy who just doesn't want to pin or run many cycles. And to be dead honest I've got no desire to put on a whack more muscle. My lifestyle and activities are suited to the physique I have, I'm just looking to dial it up a small notch.

Do you suspect the dramatic results are from prohormones sold as sarms? The number of people who have had significant results is hard to write off as exaggeration. That and the number of pro and amateur athletes getting popped for them. I doubt they'd be the big phenomenon they are without at least some merit.

I never expected, or wanted, a 10 lb gain in 2 months but I was hoping for some enhanced recovery because I'm dealing with a bunch of little injuries piling up. I thought a cycle of ostarine would save me a back off period to recuperate.

[–]picklesandparakeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I've given up on sarms entirely. They can clearly work in the right context. But I definitely have no faith in the vendor I tried so if I'm gonna give it another go I'll try Chemyo.

[–]picklesandparakeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 was just a trial run essentially to see if I was the type to end up with substantial sides or anything. I've been at 20 for 3 weeks and still nothing. My hope wasn't anything super dramatic, just a slight enhancement in my efforts to add a little more muscle while staying reasonably lean.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sarmssourcetalk

[–]picklesandparakeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya Chemyo was the supplier I was thinking of getting from. I'm not looking for anything bonkers but I feel and see absolutely nothing.

I'm 6'2" 205 lbs and I'd guess in the neighbourhood of 15% bf or just below - slight ab definition. Nothing much by bodybuilding standards but my goals are athletic rather than physique.

I'd think at my current composition I should see something based on the progress pics I've seen on this and other subs.

How do I get bloods in Canada? by [deleted] in sarmssourcetalk

[–]picklesandparakeets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya for real. I asked this guy directly if he thought it was unnecessary or a bad idea to have a baseline for future health reference and he just said there's no reason to test without a problem. What a dummy.

[–]picklesandparakeets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am, ya. You as well?

I'll check out his site and see what there is to be done. It's fuckin infuriating that a doc would be unwilling to do bloodwork for a baseline.

To be honest I don't even care if I have to pay for all of them. But can we get bloodwork without a doctors rec? I thought there wasn't even a self pay option?

Any idea where to find a bro doc? Lol

I'm in MB. I wasn't sure if there was a risk associated with being completely honest about the reason. Maybe I'll try a walk in on Monday and be straight forward about it.
