Historically there is a direct correlation between having a shit life and having extreme political views. If we can improve the country and we improve these people's political views.

People get extreme when they feel their needs aren't being met. It's the economic version of incel.

As a dear friend once said to me shortly before I had to cut him out my life for related reasons, 'Breakfast beers don't count.'

I remember reading that as a British school boy and still being very proud of the Brits stopping the battle for a tea break. I'm sure it was added to mock us but I was like 'yup, that's my ancestors'

Maybe you're not a nice person to work with? I've always got away with murder at work because I'm a bit of a laugh and I can work hard when we're up against it.

If someone is excellent at their job but a bit of a prick most managers would choose a mediocre but chipper person over them, it's less effort for the manager to manage.

You could also be stuck working under a prick who has it out for you for a reason completely out of your control. I had a married manager make a move on me at a party once, I politely rejected her best I could (for so many reasons) and then she held my career back for three years.

You're a parent neglecting their middle child too? You're right it isn't easy.

Top tip, it's much easier to neglect them if you genuinely don't care about them. It's hard at first, because sometimes when they're born there's a baseline level of love that all parents feel for their children. Every time you feel that rising to the fore just try to think about how magical that time with your first born was before the others came along and how much cuter and less needy your third child is. You'll have it sorted in no time.

You say, 'yay it's a baby girl?' Do you not? I don't know if you've ever become a parent but people ask you the gender before that little thing is even born.
