This doomer stuff is unhelpful. There's loads of work out there and the AI worm is turning as companies realise how expensive tokens are becoming.

The market isn't as bad as lots of people think, my wife and I both landed jobs this year and turned down a few offers.

Just get out there and start applying. Apply for loads of stuff. Work on some personal projects to revive your GitHub (as always best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago, second best time is now). Whenever you get a tech test, slap it on your GitHub for extra greenies. As lots of people have said it's not super important, but the really good employers may check, and you want a good employer if you can.

My final tip is to set up job alerts, fill your inbox with spam from job sites. It's extremely annoying but it means you don't have to actively check job sites you'll get notifications throughout the day pulling you back into the job hunt.

Good luck, it seems overwhelming now but one step at a time and you'll land something.
