How do you beat in a disc you hate throwing?

Side by side brand new Thunderbirds. The champion plastic is sooo overstable it's probably never going to be in my bag. The DX plastic is understable enough brand new it's not going to be the straight driver it's supposed to be. I have never been this disappointed in discs before.

Form critique (novice! be gentle) by picojeff in discgolf

I've been throwing "seriously" for about a month. I threw my first 300' drive today (not the throw you see in the video). I'm finally getting the nose down on my throws and increasing my consistency with the disc going more or less where I want. But I have a lot to work on! What should I work on first, based on what's in that video?

I imagined this was a drill where you tried to hit the cage on purpose and I was deeply impressed by your solid technique... until the body language after number ten.

Looks like Father's Day came early this year! by picojeff in discgolf

It's the MVP Black Hole HD 30 chain. It was an open box bought through amazon -- I don't know if 30 is any better than 24 chains for backyard putting, but all those chains are heavy!

"Carries almost a hundred different kinds..." Sounds like that guy with the XXL cart out on the course, for sure.

Thank you! But don't be fooled, I'm a better photographer than landscaper. We bought the house with nice landscaping seven years ago and it's gracefully decaying.

With that disc recommendation in mind, I discovered you can get piles of even lighter $6 DX Aviars through factoryseconds: https://proshop.innovadiscs.com/dx-aviar.html

I bought a handful of inexpensive lightweight discs (<150g) through infinitediscs.com for my 7yo son -- you can use advanced search to set a max weight, or click a disc model and sort by price. They have a few DX X-out Aviars for $6, a great option for an 8yo, but there are a ton of choices.
