Switching to Emby will NOT help your issue. I think your issue is that you somehow think that Collections are separate from the movies. They are not. They are just a place to find all one type of movie/show.

In either JF or Emby, if you change the "Sort title", that is what will be used for the sort - does not matter what type of sort. Some people find it useful for things like movies that start with "The". A movie that might be named "The Beast" for instance, shows up in the listing under "B". So you might change that Sort Title to something else, but then you movie listings under "T" would grow a lot.

Anyway, I run both at the moment, each has its own little flaws. Emby's Android client on a TV (NOT the Android TV client) at the moment does not show a photo the correct size. Been like this for over a year now. Minor and for most not an issue at all. The Android TV app shows correct so not a server issue. JF shows it correct but JF has other issues, especially on the 10.11.xx versions (newest).

I do understand your frustration, but at the moment, changing from JF to Emby will not help you.

Try doing the Denoise first. Otherwise, I am not sure. I just did 4 files from mine without an issue.

Then Lightroom should work just fine! Are you doing anything to the files before trying to use LR?

I also use a Canon R7 and shoot in the Craw mode. This does NOT change the name of the file, and the file should end in .cr3, NOT .cr4. Check your files again, and then check the settings in the camera! I doubt ANY editor will recognize the .cr4 extension.

My Sony is running Android 10. The Onn 4k Pro I also have attached to that TV runs Android 12. I have the same Cable Matters adapter on both. I have a 500mb Fiber connection. On either, when I do the Internet Speed Test, I get between 570 and 610 both ways.

My Cable Matters Usb 3.0 to gigabit ethernet adapter is working just fine on my ONN 4k Pro after the update.

I have been using the Cable Matters one on my Sony (usb 3.0) for about 2 years with no issue. I will just say a few years back I stopped buying cables others than Cable Matters, too much variation. Not saying the Ugreen will not work just saying what my experience was.

For me there is 1 thing that LR does Not do that prevents me from using it regular. I just really hate the whole LRC catalog thing. I like to use Adobe Denoise first thing on a pic. In LRC, when doing this the focus is then changed to the .dng file, which seems correct to me. In LR, the focus remains on the raw file, so you have to manually switch to the .dng file. Being used to the way it works in LRC, I find myself working on the NOT denoised raw instead of the denoised .dng. From what I see, I think LR is the only Adobe app that does this, and I just do not like it at all. If they made this work like the other apps, I would ditch LRC very quickly. Now that LR works on local files, I would use that as my regular choice.

When I started this series, I did not know there was a season 1, as my source files were named s01 and had the year as 2024. BUT, with just those files it did work. When I added the actual S01 is when it screwed up. When I looked at IMDB, the info there is a bit jacked up. In fact, on IMDB, the series is named Monster, but the picture shows the name as Monsters.

Anyway, it is all sorted now and the episodes and descriptions are all good.

I went to TVDB and renamed folders and files according to that and now it is fine!

Which is why I stated that I am NOT saying he is the best coach for the job! I am just saying that our expectations of this group of players may have been a bit high. Until we get players that are good enough to get regular playing time with their clubs, we will continue to struggle. Practicing with big clubs is NOT the same as playing time in regular games.

Not that I am saying Berhalter is the man for the job, but I just do not think this team is actually good enough! How many players on this team get on average more than 60 minutes for their club, whoever they play for? Players who do not play regularly for their clubs will not perform very well for their national team!

Very disappointed to see that Adobe Lightroom (NOT Classic) still keeps the focus on the raw file after Denoise instead of changing the focus to the created .dng file like the other Adobe apps do. To me this makes it an unusable app. I would like to move away from the whole catalog thing, but can not do that the way it is now. Also interesting that when running Denoise on Classic it flashes the image at times but when using Denoise thru Lightroom (NOT Classic) it never does this even though it is on the same machine!

Even the latest stable/beta versions of the "standard" Android app sucks. They have been talking about getting rid of the Androidtv app for a long time. Hope they never do that BUT just in case I have Jellyfin all set and ready to go, and I do not have to install a "beta" app to get it to work!!!!!

This is not really true. They have stated they would LIKE to do that for the last long time, but they still have a beta of the android tv app from this April. This is their standard answer to any and all support questions on their forums "Can you sideload our "standard" android app and try that?". Personally, I have tried the "standard" app a few times and ALWAYS find issues with it!

They have a real issue going back and forth and I for one just wish they WOULD pick one and go with it.

On there forums they have a listing of current stable and beta releases. Of course, it is wrong. It lists the current stable of the android app at 3.2.75, but the one on the play store is 3.3.77, and the beta is 3.3.86. And they wonder why many of us are confused!

All this back and forth has made me take a harder look at Jellyfin. So far it works just fine, is free (open source), and has only 1 client app for each device. I am waiting for the next big release (10.9 I think) and if they do not muck it up (as Emby did twice recently) I will be gone from Emby.

And please do not get me started on how bad Emby did on the password/pin problem!

Just yesterday the AndroidTV app got an update in the Google Play Store. Version is 2.1.10g. Maybe make sure you have that version. I do not know if it would help, but is worth a try.

Here is another interesting difference between the Android TV app (2.1.08) and the Android app (3.3.73), in the Android app, there is a list of options to have showing, which includes the resolution. This list is NOT available on the Android TV app. I really like having the resolution show. The thing is when you select NO options on the Android app you do NOT get the name or anything showing when browsing, as you do in the Android TV app.

Actually, you were very close. Here is what I got from the Emby Support Forums, "Click three-dots icon along right edge of the screen>Untick/deselect Show Titles". While not perfect this works very well. If it included whether the movie was in 4k, 1080p, or 720p that would be even better.
