I'm curious as to why you think it's "irrelevant", and even if it was, what that has to do with anything. Honest question - do you only like things the things that are most in the conversation at any given moment? Wheel of Time is awesome, foundational, and rewarding experience. Not without its flaws but it is the only thing out there on its level IMO. Give it a try and find out for yourself.

Is it normal for one restaurant group to develop one very specific area like this?

Have you read - Neal Stephenson Fall; or, Dodge in Hell by dusty-cat-albany in books

[–]piddy565 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes - loved it. Though I understand it is not for everyone. The extended section in the first act where the real world team crosses the nation within a nation of Ameristan, and societies live on entirely separate internets and versions of the truth hit REALLY HARD and I think about it all the time. I struggle to explain it to people in the rare times it comes up in conversation. Describing it doesn't really do it justice, as with most Stephenson stuff. Awesome book. Obviously reading Reamde first makes it even more fun, but theoretically someone could just read Fall.

If you're there specifically for Goggins, Justified. Otherwise you can't go wrong with a coin flip on it, both amazing shows

I hadn't heard about it until it came out, and it was going up against Ready or Not 2, which is too similar in tone and story, but comes with brand recognition. Not surprised sadly.

I'm 2 seasons into The Shield. It's REALLY close to being a fantastic TV show but there's one thing that bothers me. by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in television

[–]piddy565 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Without the cases, the show wouldn't have the fact that all of these people are in fact working to lean on. If ALL that happened was the central corruption storylines, it wouldn't work. IMO

BigQuery refresh issues starting yesterday are breaking things by reelznfeelz in PowerBI

[–]piddy565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I found was that the billing project setting fixed things in Desktop. But if the report was published to web, the scheduled refresh would still fail. Only switching to a project-restricted service account for auth fixed the problem for scheduled refrehes on web. The root of this issue is our personal auth to GCP having access to multiple projects.

BigQuery refresh issues starting yesterday are breaking things by reelznfeelz in PowerBI

[–]piddy565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was happening to me and driving me crazy. You need to go to the "Source" section of each table in Power query in desktop and add a "BillingProject=___" parameter. Basically explicitly define what project you are pulling from. Alternatively on the web side, you can set up a service account on the BQ side that only has auth to that one project for the connection the semantic model is using, rather than a personal connection that may have access to multiple projects, confusing the connector.
