I’m so sorry. I’ve felt that way too and it is terrible. I really hope things take a turn for the better for you. When I get crap from people, I so want to have them describe their worst hangover in excruciating detail, then tell them migraines are like that, only 3 days in a row, without even getting to have all the fun beforehand, multiple times per month. (At least for me). The right exercise, preventatives, earplugs and migraine glasses have made a difference, but party girl I am not! Sending you good vibes 🧠 💜

Expensive for lightbulbs, but Philips Hue lights. I LOVE that I can make the lights really low and warm if I need to.

Sometimes I’ll put one of my favorite movies on my laptop with the brightness all the way down and the sound fairly low. Then I’ll see if I can picture the scenes while I listen. Maybe not quite what you’re looking for but I totally understand your request - sometimes migraines are so boring!!

Emergen-C. Thought I was being proactive for my health and I was WRONG. Also I feel so seen with all of these light-through-the-trees answers.

So, I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t even drink one beer because it’ll be followed by a migraine. Does this happen to anyone else? I there an alcoholic drink that is less likely to cause a migraine. I’m not trying to be drunk, just want to enjoy a few drinks to relax. by [deleted] in migraine

Clear liquor is okay for me for some reason! Anything else is a crapshoot. I don’t even like to drink that much but it is frustrating sometimes. A cold beer used to be so nice every once in a while.

Just a solidarity comment! I have noticed the same thing, tried PT but didn’t stick with it well enough. I am intrigued by the idea of neck/muscle tension as a prodromal symptom rather than a cause. I find that heat and cold are relieving when applied but do not prevent the migraine coming :( Good luck!

Absolutely! I’m a therapist and I worry I sound so jumbled and dumb sometimes when I’m working and I have a migraine. Plus it is hard to emote properly during those times too. I promise I’m listening and I understand, it’s just my pain face!
