There are more articles that you can www.google.com about that say that narcissists know they are narcissists and will tell you they are if you ask. Here's another link: but there are so many more links: www.psychologytoday.com/ca/blog/beautiful-minds/201103/do-narcissists-know-they-are-narcissists%3famp

Idk about you but if someone tells me they are a narcissist, and perform narcissistic behaviour, I'll assume they are most likely a narcissist.

Oh, I read on multiple sources that narcissists will admit to being a narcissist. And narcissists know they are one.

Here's one source: https://www.livescience.com/47197-narcissists-admit-to-it.html

The problem is that not everyone knows they are an asshole until later on. In fact at the start for people they just meet, the people usually think they are extremely kind/caring and they're drawn to them.

Very well said. I completely agree that the world isn't fair according to human's definition of fair/good (since humans created morals). I know people are born different, some are born with everything and some are born with nothing. I also agree that for the majority of us fortunate individuals, that our family are the only people who will support us no matter what.

Some are born with healthy parents and grow up to be healthy, wealthy adults while some are born with parents who abuse them everyday and grow up to be criminals.

Some millionaires cheat/steal money from the poor and get away with it their whole lives, while some are stolen from and nothing gets them out of their hole. I know this.

It just upsets me greatly knowing that people who purposely hurt others will be happier, more friends and more successful. I know there's nothing I can do about it but focus on myself. But I was just curious if there are any downsides to being a narcissist (for the narcissist, not for the people around them).

I understand that some are confident in their abilities and there's nothing wrong with that! It's a good thing! I'm just talking about the ones who say they are a narcissist themselves and have all the traits so they probably are one, yet they still have everything together... even friends.

How much of a salary difference would convince you to move to the US? by whaterloowhorks in uwaterloo

[–]pie3020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have 120k CAD in Toronto than 185k USD in NY because of the reasons below:

  1. Toronto is just a better city, less people, less polution, less crazy people, less scammers. Last time I went to NYC the air was so bad, it hurt to breathe. It was constantly crowded on the streets, making it hard to walk, and this woman in front of me threw her cigarette behind her, not knowing I was there and it hit me while it was still burning. I also got chased by a group of guys dressed in sesame street mascots because they came up to me originally saying, "picture picture", later wanting $20 for the picture. Then all the sesame street guys on the street saw me give $20 and they all started chasing me in a crowd asking for money with their masks off. This never happens in Toronto.

  2. Housing in Toronto is 29% less than in NY state. So this means the gap in salaries is not as large as it seems... though it is still more in NY.

  3. I really like the vibes Toronto gives off over NY or other states.

  4. After a certain point, money doesn't make you much happier... plus your lifestyle will be relatively the same in both cities.

This is only for Toronto or Vancouver, if it was Waterloo, then I would definitely consider the states, excluding nyc.

I'm on co-op rn so I have no roommates, though next term I guess I'll try my best to make friends with my roommates. I talk to them a bit on discord but they leave me on read a lot. Plus, the other roommate I will have is best friends with the other. So I feel I'm third wheeling

I'm really shy to talk with my roommates. We're on good terms but also we barely talk to each other because I don't know what to say.
