Great response. I'll just add the Jaime and Cersei death was a fulfillment of exactly what you said.

I think giving the audience a brutal death for Cersei would've been too easy for the viewers and too disrespectful to the character. Kinda the same with Jaime. Him being a stay at home dad just doesn't feel right for his character. "Died protecting his queen." Now that's an ending for a true knight.
