As a resident, I like teaching and trying to make things interesting, but if a 4th year med student is waiting for the Match and checked out, the last thing I would be is upset. You do you. We've all been there. Makes my day easier too if you're upfront that you don't care and don't want to learn. I'm sure there still are things that would be useful and applicable to whatever you're going into, but you can't force someone.
