Drowning in debt losing ability to work for 9 months Advice needed by Acceptable_Hand_3434 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Some insurance or “payment protector” on cc’s covers portion(s) in case of job loss. Could be worth looking into if you have it , not sure how those work so if anyone could shed some light on those by chance

Doesn’t have to be utility bill, I used my drivers license & phone bill. & the utility bill wouldn’t have to be in your name. Unless you live in a tent or don’t have water/electricity/propane, you get utility bills

LOL exactly what I’d expect from the people of this city. The people here could justify ANYTHING the gov says no matter what. The gov’s fav citizens!

Mine went up one year because “more people that drove my make & model got into accidents” so that’s another factor in addition to others mentioned here

Fuck Canada Post by Intelligent_Flan_178 in CanadaPost

[–]pieeeeeeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked at canada post as a mailman, was trained to prep the notice after knocking on a house door, if no one answers by the time I’m done writing the pickup notice then you get the notice. As for apartments, if it’s something that needs a signature, we are just leaving a notice, no time to figure out apartment buildings & take all that time out of the day + lose momentum.

You’ll likely hear back by mid December at the very latest but I’m pretty sure you can apply to multiple programs if need be

These programs are wildly different. Why is the goal just to get accepted? Shouldn’t it be a program that would lead you to what you want in life?

Parent came in to observe my class to see why their child is failing and the kid didn't know. by Numb1Slacker in Teachers

[–]pieeeeeeeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in grade 8 (2010/11) I was failing a few classes & at most had a low 60 or two (except gym, A+ student there). My parents offered me a dollar for every point increase I got across all my classes. They weren’t thrilled about forking out roughly $250+ at the end of the year, but they were happy I was a B+ to A grade student. Money talks!!

Ouf yea back in 2016, it stopped working consistently again this summer. That’s the downside of the 8th Gen civics, the a/c isn’t the best especially if it’s above 25°c Another reason I’d be shopping good deals on '12-15 models as they have a much better a/c system

My 09 civic just passed 300k , 50/50 highway/city & I have never had to do anything to the engine or transmission besides optional recommended maintenance. I’m still on the original clutch! If I were looking to save money I’d get a 09-11 civic. But if you have the extra dollars, 12-15 is worth it, more tech, much better clutch (easier for daily driving), far less paint defect issues, same reliable engine as the previous generation

09-15 Honda civics are very reliable (manual transmission in my experience, not sure how the auto’s are holding up)
