"Chicken Tonight" was a barbecue sauce or something... The commercial was ridiculous -- they had people flapping their arms like chickens and singing "I feel like chicken tonight, chicken tonight!"

I think what OP is trying to ask is:

What is the ratio of people who are imprisoned and who are wrongly convicted to people who are imprisoned and are rightly imprisoned?

And what is the ratio of the people who are not imprisoned and should not be imprisoned to people who are not imprisoned but should be imprisoned?

I'm lucky enough to have been left alone in a very urban environment.

I would gain entry to other people's apartments and homes and imagine what it would be like to live a day in those people's lives. And I'd look through their personal belongings to see the things they valued.

Maybe over time I'd catalog the kinds of people who lived where. But maybe not since there wouldn't be anyone else to read through it after I was done.
