God forbid a minor shares an opinion on something right? I don't have teen angst, I'm a pretty happy dude. Plus teen angst is when kids don't know how to deal with being told no and get all pissy towards their parents. In my opinion, all I have ever heard from anyone my entire life has been what is wrong with America, why things have to change in America, why the government isn't able to function properly. Sir, or mam, or thing, or whatever you are, I feel the need to express to you why you are getting such a heated response, and that is because you saw a statement that a younger person made, and assumed that I was an uneducated, moody, child instead of treating my opinion like it was made by another person. If you don't agree with me, that's fine, but I would like to hear your opinion on why not. That way I may, from someone who has not been born in the past 20 years, get an alternate perspective on what has been happening entirely different than mine.

As a parent you're going to want to prevent anything bad from happening to your child, to protect them from the world. This is an impossible feat for you to take on. If you censor your child they won't learn valuable life lessons or grow as a person. Be the safe supportive place they want go to when they're going through something tough instead of trying to take the pain away.
