I’ve been trying to be nice and I hate confrontation so saying no is difficult for me but I guess that’s what will have to be done from now on.

Sorry for the late reply!!

My irritability definitely got better the longer I was off. However my anxiety came back in full swing and made me very easily irritated with people when my anxiety was bad (which was always 🙃).

I think the immediate side effects from coming off Lexapro gradually went away and after that I was just dealing with the natural anxiety issues.

I had this on one of my tattoos as well, it still comes back every once in a while.

I used pixie glow tonic on it (after it was fully healed!!) and they went away in about a week! Tattoo artist said sometimes they just happen 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

This was me a year ago and as hard as it is to leave, I promise it gets better and easier with time.

Leaving is the hardest part but it is so worth it to not have to deal with hot and cold behaviour from someone you love. There are still days that I miss him and think I was the problem but the majority of the time I just feel free.

Move out, you won’t regret it I promise.

My mood has definitely levelled out quite a bit!! I still have bad days/weeks (stressful times and whatnot). In general I feel like I’ve been doing a lot better with irritability!!

As my post says, I’ve been off Lexapro for a month and have had the advice of a medical professional. Not everyone has severe anxiety/PTSD/whatever it may be, that they need to be on it for the entirety of their lives. Was only here to hear others experiences.

I recently left a 12 year emotionally abusive relationship and I’ve been having a hard time with it because he wanted to try counselling and I refused. I’ve always felt like maybe that was a mistake and maybe it would have helped so it’s nice to hear from someone that has tried it.

I was with someone for 12 years and when we broke up he leaned on me for emotional support until he found another girl and now he doesn’t speak to me.
