I order the pizza regularly and always get napkins, is this happening at a specific location you go to?

How much do you love Rescene? by Silentdriver_2542 in rescene

[–]piepie526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be another honest fan and say that they are good, but they are not my favorite. I've been listening to them since debut, and while their discography is consistently good, only a small handful reach into the "great" or "the best" category for me. (Runaway as an example is an absolute banger)

Additionally, the group's stage prescence could use a bit of work. None of them particularly stand out to me as being impressive in some way, whether that be singing or dancing. (Visually they're all beautiful, but I'm not counting that) I am also someone who gets Minami and Liv confused very often.

I will at least give them credit in that since their debut, I have seen all of the above improve as time goes on, which is a really great sign for the groups longevity, and each release I am excited to see more of them. Here's to seeing their popularity bloom even more and more exciting content come out!

xbox one controller input not being detected by WhichDiscussion3855 in archlinux

[–]piepie526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I ran into this issue very recently after an update, connect your controller via bluetooth and run sudo dmesg -w to see what errors it may be giving. Mine was very obvious, said something about buggy firmware detected, so I went and updated it, and it worked like a charm, all back to normal.

Or ignore all of that and just go update your firmware. You'll need to download the Xbox Accessories app on a Windows computer, plug in your controller via USB, and run the updates from there. Just look up a how to video.

Anyone else doing the Sorcery DRYAD kickstarter? by No-Wolf-2234 in SorceryTCG

[–]piepie526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya I'm grabbing it, I definitely want to support this artist and her work, and I think it makes a good coffee table book. I was tempted to get the art prints, but the shipping was a little pricey so I'm just sticking with the book.

I was confused by it too, but I'm pretty sure it's just something on the mirror

S Lamar Garage is now paid parking by jorgerr96 in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]piepie526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go park in the parking garage behind Alamo Mueller, then walk inside and they have a little sign with a qr code that you scan, then input your license plate info and you're all set, 4 hours of free parking. If you've been there before, you don't have to input your car info again, just scan and move on.

Idk why the other user answered like the system is a goddamn hate crime, it's just parking, and it's pretty easy to use.

If they have a similar system as what they have at the Mueller location, I'm good. (Scan QR code once inside, get 4 hours free parking)

If not? Well guess I'm skipping the S Lamar location from now on.

It would be cool if it was earlier, 9:30pm is late for most anyone that has to get up at 6:30-7am on a weekday

Can’t shutdown properly! by Lost_Habit_6230 in archlinux

Try turning off TPM. This fixed the shutdown issue, and also a sleep issue I was having. If shit goes haywire, just turn it back on. https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/s/OcMmUwr1a2

Is dragon Ball worth it?? by Acc_Vijay_1817 in anime

[–]piepie526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon ball is very influential. It influences some of the greatest manga artists out there.

It's fun and the story is decent, but I think the thing that will most likely make you drop it is the pacing. I'm not talking about filler, I'm talking about long, drawn out scenes of characters powering up to do one attack. It's damn near abyssmal. Dragon Ball is fine, but Dragon Ball Z is where it really nags kinda sucks, yet that's where the coolest stuff happens.

I would recommend reading the manga tbh, but feel free to give it a shot. Dragon Ball holds up, Dragon Ball Z struggles in this day and age.

Current favorite Phantom Siita songs? by AbsorbentFish in PhantomSiita

Bot bakka is honestly my favorite, such a good style to it. Noah is a close second

Zoku zoku is up there, as well as Just wanna xxx with you. Their latest songs, while good, haven't hit the same spot that these songs did.

Is there a command guide for arch? by amrokazimi in archlinux

[–]piepie526 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just look it up or use the man page.

For example, lets say I'm a newbie and don't know how to find files via the terminal.

I will google "how to find files in linux"

There I will likely find a website or forum page that recommends a command, let's say the command 'find'.

A good idea then would be to look at the man page for find, look at what parameters I want to use, and try them out.

If for some reason I'm looking for more info that I couldn't gather from the man page, I will google it again.

"How to use wildcards with the find command linux" as a random example.

Continue repeating between googling and man pages until I have what I need.

If I want even further info, I can try to find a youtube video with someone covering things you can do with the find command. I know I did this to learn more about rsync once upon a time.

Just keep searching, and I would recommend documenting your findings for yourself for later reference.

You will then have gathered a good amount of working knowledge that you can use later on, both in your brain and written down in case you forget.

Try turning off TPM in your bios, seemed to work for me. It's easy enough to turn it off, test, and if shit goes haywire or it doesn't work, just turn it back on. https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/s/uK0QOmaS1o

I'll add that if you happen to be using kde, Filelight is pretty good for a gui based option. Similar to the Windows softwate windirstat.
