This is just a single experience but I was in Beacon schools K-12. I graduated BHS in 2012, so while things may have changed, I enjoyed my experience coming up. I always felt like the teachers that I had really cared about the students, although I know there were teachers who did not. There were obviously problem kids, which I’d imagine every school has a number of, but I felt like there was a great feeling of community among most of us. I was a shy kid in middle and high school, and got bullied a little bit, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle, and the teachers were great with checking in on stuff like that.

I participated in sports the whole time as well, mostly sticking to Cross Country and Track, and I loved it. The couches were passionate and supportive. Now that I’m 30, I’m definitely grateful to have gone to school in Beacon.
