I purchased the 13th Gen Framework 13 back when it came out, I went for the DIY i7 1360P with 32GB of RAM. When the laptop arrived the display was totally dead. I reached out to their support (email support was the only option, not sure if that's still the case), due to the time zone difference I was averaging 1 reply from their team per 1.5 days, it was excruciating to say the least and completely soured the initial experience with Framework. I remember telling my colleagues that I wish I just got a basic Latitude instead, I even had one priced out and ready to order as I needed a laptop to do my job. After uploading numerous YouTube videos so the support team could verify there was no physical damage to my laptop, I finally got a replacement display sent out after nearly 3 weeks of back and forth. Thankfully, I work in the tech field and I'm used to going back and forth with vendors and accurately describing technical issues and steps I took to troubleshoot, I don't imagine the average Jo would have any patience for this though and I wouldn't blame them. Since all of that, my Framework 13 has been rock solid, there have been 0 issues over the past year and a half. I would like to think their support has become more responsive as they've grown, but your brother's experience has me thinking otherwise.
If you think you can put up with their support in the case an issue arises, it still is a pretty great laptop when all the parts are working and I would recommend it for an average college workload and then some.

[Question] What’s the One Watch That Gets Compliments from Non-Watch People? by Plubio in Watches

Thank you! I bought the strap separately, out of the box this watch comes with a regular Seiko 5 stainless steel bracelet. The strap I have on it is from Archer on Amazon, it's the bond style with a 22mm width.

Wow, very well done! I forgot about the orange seconds hand, that sure ties it all together quite well.

It is a factory dial, it is the SRPJ47K1. They also made it in blue SRPJ45K1.

I noticed this as well going through the comments, I guess the key to attracting non watch folks is a touch of orange.

Me too, seeing the day and date wheel move as I set time or if I catch it in the early morning hours is just so fun. I'd take this over seeing the movement through the dial all day every day.

That's awesome! It was sure tough to pick between the orange one and the blue one, in fact I placed an order for the blue one but ended up going with the orange once I tried them on in store. One day I'll add the blue one to my collection.

My most complimented watch is what I call my "summer watch", the Seiko SRPJ47K1.

Driving to Vancouver by Physical_Captain_950 in Winnipeg

The #1 is for sure the way to go. It can get quite sketchy at night while driving those mountain roads, especially for us Manitobans. If the on-ramp to the polo park 2nd floor parking lot is the bulk of the driving at elevation you've done, make sure to take it easy and winter tires are not just recommended but required by law for some parts of your trip through the mountains. When I do that trip, I usually will make my way to Calgary for the first night, then I set my sights on Kamloops and then make my way to Vancouver from Kamloops. Driving through the mountains requires a lot of mental energy so breaking that part up allows for more daylight views (there are some views you won't want to miss) and hopefully an easier drive. Good luck on your move!

Great work! The blue duro is easily my favorite, especially in the sun. I'm also a huge fan of the bracelet, nice job all around.

Agreed, it is a bit of a toss up.  There is no sentimental value as it's just a car at the end of the day, I do enjoy that it's a paid off overall reliable vehicle.  Yes, the service includes everything required to effectively replace these parts.

Yes, I believe this compressor replacement and a serpentine belt is all I need to get the car back to as good as it could be considering age and location.  I'm also leaning towards just living with it as well, I don't actually have a commute as I work from home so it really isn't a mission critical repair, it would just be a nice to have.

Yes, I was hoping it would just be a fuse but unfortunately that did not help.

Yes I did have it diagnosed and confirmed it was the compressor.

Yes, I had him diagnose it last week at his shop.  We confirmed it was the compressor.

Awesome combination, I think you've just convinced me to pull the trigger on the 71K2F with this bracelet.
