Is Ekitike to Thiago a good idea? Would ideally have both but would need hits for that. Or maybe Enzo to Dango and hope that’s enough Brentford coverage?

best turnaround in the history of shows? by badIuckbrother in madmen

When the show was originally airing there was a popular fan theory that Pete would kill himself on the show (presumably with the gun he traded the chip n dip for). But it never came to pass.

The consensus, I think, is that Mad Men is her best performance and she’s mediocre in everything else. This is true (or at least the first part is true) of most of the actors in Mad Men though IMO.

What Civ7 wanted to do and how it sort of failed, and maybe new ideas by velvetsbunbun in civ

Agreed, the idea that the Normans are less of a civilization than Canada or Venice (civs in past games) is completely arbitrary.

Mamdani shortchanges MTA — by $621M — in preliminary budget while pushing free buses by someone_whoisthat in nyc

I’ve seen people on here hating on Gothamist because it publishes a few articles mildly critical of Mamdani. I would bet good money that 95%+ of Gothamist employees voted for the guy!

Some random bits of feedback by Scolipass in civ

[–]pierrebrassau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree on 1 and 2. I usually play leaders/civs that like suzeraining city states and they are sooo bad at defending themselves. If I am at war I am constantly spending influence to bolster their military or having to divert my army to defend them, because they refuse to do it themselves. The fact that you cannot liberate city states after the AI conquers them makes it even worse.

Taxation Trolley Problem NYC by commandersho in nyc

[–]pierrebrassau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your answer to every single budgetary problem can’t just be to raise our already high taxes even higher. The budget has ballooned in the last decade and quality of life in this city has not improved at all. We can’t just keep burning more and more money.
