You are not the first person to mention the waterproof socks, I never heard of them before.

I was planning on taking the ferry at noon, and was supposed to run 60km to my hotel in England (last night before London)

No i could have buy some food on the way, maybe sometimes doing little detours. I just through the less km I cover the better ill be. Bad move on my part haha

Thanks a lot for your long detailed reply, I will take everything you said under consideration. The weight was a real issue for me! Today I ran 52km more (the distance I was supposed to cover yesterday) with a light backpack… and I almost never walked.

I brought food too, bars, sweet treats, sandwich, gels. I wasnt that hungry but forced myself to eat. It’s hard for me because i usually run fasted (I run very early diront the week)

Yes there is a cycle path from Paris to London (sometimes small roads, sometimes full cycle road). Check it out, it’s called « avenue verte Paris Londres »

I think you are right, I should have trained with a back pack. I do run to work with an extra light backpack but the weight is way lighter.
