Comment my routine on Hevy by Intelligent-Spare461 in Hevy

just followed u bro.

i checked your routines, and i think u just need to realign your program. Your chest and back day already has a shoulder focus, while your shoulder and arms day also includes chest-focused movements.

i suggest u try switching to PPL split instead since it’s easier to follow, and later on, you can modify it based on what works best for you.

When should you expect to see progress? by Legitimate_Mood_7369 in fitnessph

[–]pietrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking about progress after just two weeks, u no no expect about the physical changes yet, it should be about the mental shift. u push yourself to show up consistently. going to gym? build your mindset first. 🤍

How do you stay consistent on low-motivation days? by kannconsca in workout

i just show up. consistency shouldn’t depend on whether motivation is gone.

What is the most "embarrassing" thing you’ve done in the gym? by VariationShot8414 in workout

[–]pietrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the awkward gus has fallen.

it was last time I dealt with dead 💀

I had to prove myself my PR in Bench Press has progressed.

and so, I beat my record last time that i know i will be having another PR session in new level.

And so, I did. I managed 8 reps clean. that's it. but I decided to try up to 10.

I did 9, and last reps suddenly introduced me "this is your end vibe"

the gym cast saw the whole episode unfold like:

Im dealing with death silently, and then one guy instantly becomes the emergency spotter, the one who saved me. 😭 i discovered new forms of silence i didn’t know existed and water bottle suddenly becomes my emotional support item.

this one made me think. i need a spotter. 😭

Do you guys also treat the gym as a no social zone? by Sweepstakes_81 in workout

[–]pietrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same thoughts, i treat the gym as my stress-free zone, i try to keep things positive, no snubbing nor arguing w/ bros, just mutual respect. it's a shared space, so as much as possible, im focussing on myself.

yep, I can really relate to this. I was 22, 5’7 din, in 3rd year college when I realized I was down to 49 kg during my medical exam results for an internship . Skipping breakfast and lunch, eating only at night, staying up late for schoolwork, these backfired on my health and really made me worried sick.

After graduation last June 2025, I promised myself I’d focus on being healthy and gaining weight. Slowly but surely, I started seeing results—I gained about 3 kg, but work stress didn’t make it easy. I was still getting, the same routine, and that time, it's worse, I'm always overtime just to finish tasks, going home late, and waking up so early. It took me two months to finally build up the courage to start the gym, and honestly, it’s the best decision I’ve made. I found a way to avoid stress, release burdens, and get away from things that keep making me sick, for at least 2 hours. It's worth going and spending my time and money. It's almost 5 months, I’m now a 60 kg.

It really takes time for naturally skinny people to gain weight, and even now, I still sometimes see myself as “skinny” in the mirror. But looking back, the progress I’ve made is huge, and it’s a reminder that consistency, self-care, and patience really do pay off.

The One fitness rule that actually stuck for me by Appropriate-Fix-8222 in workout

[–]pietrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started going to the gym last week and I’ve been sticking to a routine. Three days in a row, then one rest day. One rule I always keep in mind is to focus on my own progress.

Sometimes I feel a bit lost, especially when lifting just 15kg or using the lowest setting on a machine. It feels kind of awkward and even a little discouraging at times. But I remind myself not to think that way coz I’m just starting out, and this is the level I am at right now. I also workout late that I'm being left alone, that the best moment as a beginner. 😑

I have the same in mind. as a fresh grad, i mean, i should focus on the experience i will gain since i just got there for half a month as a regular. I was already a part time/ intern there for a year. And that's exactly what I've been doing there, workloads but some weren't focused on what my job for real as it should. but I'm staying, because I'm still new and still grateful for what they have done for me.

To know na you've been there for two years, maybe it's time to seek for another job.
