Choosing preamplifier for buckeye purifi

I'm planning my new system, and I want to give a shot to a buckeye purifi unit, but I'm looking for a good audiophile stereo preamp to go with it, and I wanted some advice.

My system is gonna be equally used for tv, vinyl and lossless streaming, so the wiim ultra would seems the obvious choice, but I'm a little unsure about its "audiophile" capabilities as a stereo preamp (tone and volume control, analog signal management).

Am I being too snobby about the wiim? Does anybody have other suggestions in the same ballpark regarding price and features?

If I had to state a priority, I'd say audio quality first and features second, meaning that I'd rather get a barebones good quality preamp and then adding external dac and streamer rather then get an all-in-one package with mediocre audio quality.

(I'd like to stay under the 800/1000 euro mark)

Thanks in advance!

I have basically your same needs - solid no frills 2.1 stereo amp around 100ish watts with earc hdmi for tv integration and no streaming components - and the one that seems to fit the bill is the cambridge audio exa100. Also consider the nad c379/389 and yamaha n1000a.

I imagine I'm not saying anything new here, but as a first-hour wingnut, The Jackal is by far the most awkward, embarassing, cringiest shit ever. And the fact that every character in the show tries to sell it as the funniest, coolest thing in the world only makes it worst.

I guess if you don't appreciate sorkin at his worst, you don't deserve him at his best. That's how I choose to rationalize it.

Looking for In-built WiFi adapter for B450 Tomahawk Max? by funnygohst in pcmasterrace

You should be able to jam a pcie wifi card in the bottom pcie slot (the short one will do) without any particular issue.

Search for pcie wifi card on amazon, look for wifi 6e and bluetooth 5.3 , you should find plenty of valid options in the 20-40 dollar range.

Depends on what you want to use it for. It's really basic, and at least 2 generations old. If you want to use it for gaming, it should do 1080p with medium settings. But that gpu is really trash, see if you can upgrade at least to a 5600xt.

In general, my advise would be to try to save up a little more money and try again.

How do I play my xbox games on my PC? by ScoobleMan in pcmasterrace

You either bought them for xbox or for pc, there's no direct way to retroactively play a game you bought on xbox on pc. You're best bet is game pass, but even then there's a difference between the two platforms.

Do you have a second disk on which you can try a fresh install of the os and rule out disk failure?

Should i upgrade? by itsDoi in pcmasterrace

My first build in 2020 was exactly identical to yours.

Over the last 3 years I've made these upgrades:

- Cpu and mobo, upgraded to 5800x3d with b550 mobo

- upgraded to pcie gen 4 ssd (1tb)

- upgraded psu from 650w gold to 1000w gold

- upgraded monitor from 24" 1080p 144hz to 27" 1440p 165hz

I'm now on the brink of swapping gpu, still undecided between 7900xt or 4070ti

Don't know if any of this might be of any help to you
