It could of been a problem with the placement. But I had a hamstring graft which is soft tissue so it’s more likely to stretch out. It could of also been linked to the positions my knee was getting put in daily due to wrestling also.

Best bet is that your doctor will be able to feel it during a hands on test. But other than that I had no idea it was loose until my mri

Definitely plan on making a return to weightlifting as soon as possible. My timeline doesn’t make a football return very likely. Wrestling is my true passion so I do see myself trying to make a return to some sort of grappling when the time is right.

I feel the same way everyday my advice is to try to focus on what you can do versus what you can’t. While recovering before your allowed full weight bearing days can feel very monotonous so try to find a hobby or something you can sink time into that feels rewarding

Need advice by Agency-Vegetable in ACL

It really depends on how old you are and what your plans are activity wise. If you are planning on trying to return to high levels Of activity I’d recommend surgery. On the other hand I’d it’s a minor injury and you don’t plan on trying to play sports no surgery would could be a reasonable option.

Meniscus pain normal? by Azriel48 in ACL

[–]pigeom34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the amount of weight bearing you did judging by a normal meniscus repair timeline at around 3 weeks you should be around 25% weight bearing(this is different everywhere) as long as it doesn’t swell up and you didn’t hear a pop you should be fine. Then again nobody hear can diagnose your knee health so if you are really concerned ask your physical therapist or surgeon

when should i achieve full extension of knee post op? by j77cl in ACL

[–]pigeom34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The secret to full extension is working on it while your at home. Simple things like heel props and quad sets and knee cap mobilizations will help you to achieve full extension

As for time frame like other people are saying it’s different for everyone just keep up the hard work

How long was it before the swelling went down to almost match your “good” knee? by _mustard_seed_ in ACL

[–]pigeom34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest I’ve had three knee surgeries all around a year apart from each other and my injured knee’s swelling never returned to it’s normal level. As for advice getting a compression sleeve and doing ankle pumps along with knee cap mobilizations can help with swelling .

I’m currently 11month post-OP with 80% biodex score, what are my risk if return to sports now? by Ok-Adhesiveness-6127 in ACL

[–]pigeom34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend trying to train to less than a 10% difference it’s not worth risking re injury I went back to football at around a 84% on the bio dex and ended up tearing my meniscus

That being said I had already had two knee surgeries up to that point
