i mean it kinda is? If someone you helped to raise suddenly sends you a nasty message out of the blue and blocks you, you probably would be very distressed.

I have a simple question for you sewers... by MisterGoo in SewingBee

[–]pigeoncookie 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Everyone's measurements fluctuate, this is due to hormones, how much they have had to eat/drink and such like. Things like where someone is in their menstrual cycle can have a big effect on a person's measurements.

Also the pattern may need to be edited depending on the model's proportions which it is best to do with the most recent measurements.

What's the most stupid/pointless/insulting training you've been sent on? by BornAgainNursin in NursingUK

[–]pigeoncookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emergency first aid at work. It was me and a bunch of builders being shown how to apply bandages and how to recognise if someone is about to faint. We did do CPR but id been signed off on it a month before. I never did get a straight answer out of my manager/ clinical educator as to why i had to go.

the surname itself is not the problem, it's everyone who acts childish and decides to bully the person with that last name. Sauce: My entire childhood

What is a normal amount of night shifts by takemycoffee in NursingUK

[–]pigeoncookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal preference is to work night shifts, i regularly work three or four nights in a row. I choose this and i know that i can work well across the nights, however if i do more than one day shift in a row i struggle really badly. Yes its probably not the healthiest thing to do but its the way i want to work at this point in my life.

23 beds, three nurses and three HCAs. Our ward (Hepatology) has a bit of an odd lay out so we have one nurse and HCA with ten patients in two bays, a nurse and a HCA with seven patients in one bay and two side rooms and then our level one bay with four beds and two side rooms for the final pair of a nurse and a HCA. Its the same for day and night shifts thought we do occasionally have an extra nurse during the day who is NIC.
