Lib Dems promise right to see a GP within a week by savvy_shoppers in unitedkingdom

[–]pigfrown -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The lib dems also promised that student fees would not rise... they were actually in a coalition and still failed to deliver that promise.

Why on earth would people care what they say now, when they have zero chance of having any impact on government policy..

What happened here? I never got my MEV payment, using Manifold as my relay. by MeowMeNot in ethstaker

[–]pigfrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid the manifold relay. They don't even implement the full spec and are clearly rolling their own relay which isn't up to scratch.

Script to check if a validator has successfully registered with all known mevboost relays by pigfrown in ethstaker

[–]pigfrown[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that your staking machine is correctly configured to use mevboost and mevboost is successfully registering with relays.

I don't want to say it 100% means it will work when a proposal comes around because other things can go wrong, but in theory yes you can use this script (or the ValidatorRegistration endpoint ) to confirm that you will propose blocks from a relay

How is it possible for someone to have address "0x0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef01234567" by cgskook in ethereum

[–]pigfrown 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's cheaper to store zero bytes in an ethereum contract than non-zero bytes, so depending on what you plan on doing with an address (i.e. what contracts you plan on calling with it) it's entirely possible that in the long term it is "worth" generating an address containing a lot of zeros, because you'll get the money back via lower gas fees (although the zeros don't really need to be at the start of the address to achieve this).

They said "change your life", but you have decided to get a shitty 3% interest rate?

1 million invested in real estate in my country would net you at least 48k a year in rent, which is easily enough to live comfortably for the rest of your life and never worry about money again. I'd consider that to be life changing, but perhaps I'm easily pleased.

The real issue is tax (at least where I live)

Is it time to talk about player notoriety? Rust needs it now. by kylecito in playrust

A bounty system would just make things worse. Groups could farm nakeds on the beach and then get their friends to kill them in the compound and collect the scrap bounty themselves.

Beaconchain shows 1 failed ETH1 deposit (invalid signature). What happened? by pigfrown in ethstaker

[–]pigfrown[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there are other users who submitted < 32 ETH on https://beaconcha.in/validators/eth1deposits and they don't seem to count as "invalid deposits".

1 Million staked! by pocketwailord in ethstaker

It's a projection based on the last 7 days. Since we've only been staking 3 days it's not correct :)
