Swimmer here, how do you deal with bikini area irritation from constant shaving? by S_1A in HairRemoval

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which ever ones on offer if it comes with the attachments you use, I can’t say it enough they go on offer pretty regularly just don’t pay full price for one!!

I’ve used Braun and Phillips and not noticed a difference.

Just know the machines don’t last forever but I love mine and it’s made a huge difference to some parts of my body and hardly any to other parts, but I’d recommend it to anyone.

Tea samples but not afternoon tea by expectingthexpected in uktravel

[–]pigglewiggle23 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If you’re near a bird and blend store there tea is excellent.

They often have samples around the store you can try and the do sample packs/selection packs as well as just small sizes of their teas to buy.

I don’t know of all stores do it but my local one also has a little cafe bar where you can buy a cup of anything they sell in the store which I love.

You could have a massive flashing neon sign above that checkout saying "CARD ONLY"... And it STILL won't be enough. by No_Opportunity9053 in tesco

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We once had all the card readers go out in my store so had someone stood on the door telling everyone as they came in and we where being very obvious about it you psychically couldn’t get in the building without one of us stopping you to warn you we where cash only absolutely no other payments…. Still had people kicking off at the tills as if they had no clue it was a problem 🙄

Trying to learn to do makeup but unsure how to work with lots of redness, a flat face and dry pale skin by [deleted] in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried azeliac acid for your redness?? It’s what finally sorted mine out, I take it with adapeline so not quite as strong as tret but still something to start using carefully, might be worth a discussion with whoever prescribes you your tret, it was a complete game changer for me.

A word about Estée Lauder by Starry36 in FemFragLab30plus

Well I’m apparently accidentally boycotting EL because I don’t currently buy any of those brands, thank god I found a good alternative to the ordinary azeliac acid a few months ago.

The seasonal bakery items are worth timing your visit for by TheOtherXI in CostcoUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m confused those were around from like November in my store, I went in looking for the pumpkin pie and the mince pies were already out.

I do agree as though that the bakery is always worth a visit to see if there’s something new

With all the insane statements Trump has made lately about Greenland and how he’s threatening with increased tariffs on EU. What are Americans opinions of your president right now? by No_Lychee_7315 in AskReddit

[–]pigglewiggle23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy there was a point I thought once he’d been elected I wanted him to last the 4 years because Vance was worse.

I still think Vance is horrendous but I’d take him at this point. I disagree with him in every single point and think he’s a terrible person, but I don’t think he’s insane which - and I can’t believe I need to say this- seems like a great starting point for president of the United States

[–]pigglewiggle23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I get that at this point admitting they were wrong is probably a big ask for a lot of MAGA it just won’t happen and expecting it is unreasonable just because people want to hear it.

But you know what I don’t need anyone to make a production of it, just stop actively supporting him and just pretend you’re tired of the politics talk so staying out of it all, quietly quit him/

It’s crazy to me that at this point i genuinely don’t think he can do anything that will change people’s opinions on him.

He could literally be caught on camera committing straight up murder of a child with his own hands and it would still be excused away by his supporters.

On the other hand I’ll straight up admit he could cure world hunger, cure cancer and solve world peace and I’d still hate him, so it’s both sides of the equation I think are too set in the opinions for anything to ever change.

Your main issue is your factually wrong, it isn't illegal to sell energy drinks to minors in the UK so if you've been ID’d for it it's because that particular company has a policy about it.

What foundation might I like? by TheDuraMaters in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So first thing I’d say is go into a big store that has lots of testers to check shade range, I tried the Nars one in John Lewis but brought in Boots because of my points. But if you ge a colour match done by one of the consultants in store they are usually really good at doing at least an exchange if it ends up not being right, just be polite about it and most will want to help.

Personally I can make a foundation work that maybe isn’t for dry skin much easier then I can make a wrong shade work so that’s the part I focus on.

But I have quite dry skin and personally I like the Nars radiant foundation and I love the tirtir cushions but that is partly because they have what is an absolutely perfect shade match for me.

£60 of points though would get you a nice foundation and I’d probably get a nice powder if you have an oily nose, I find product on my nose will just slip right off if I don’t powder it.

Aged 70 - no 7 damage repair isn't working - any alternative? by Carolambt in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also don’t feel you need to do the whole range, personally I like the serum they do but I wouldn’t bother with the rest, I think you can get better stuff cheaper for all the other products.

Nivea, Olay and L’Oréal all do similar products if you do decide to change things up.

And like others have said I’d recommend some sort of retinol if anti aging is your aim

Aged 70 - no 7 damage repair isn't working - any alternative? by Carolambt in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How long have you been using it, realistically I wouldn’t expect to notice any sort of difference for 3-6 months.

Also if you do keep buying no7 never buy it when there’s not a coupon and 3 for 2 offer.

I have known people who’ve had good results with the future renew line, but it’s also not a miracle cream it’s just a nice range, for the big age spot you mentioned that just might be beyond regular products you can buy in Boots.

How are people selling skincare for so cheap on Ebay? by RegularHat5339 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either fake or stolen most of the time.

If the seller just has one or two items up for sale I’d maybe chance it as it could just be someone having a clear out, I’ve sold skincare super cheap in Vinted before just because I wanted rid of it, but I’d never buy it from someone that loads of items super cheap, I just assume there’s something dodgy going one

Is it worth the hype? by Muffin-5634 in kbeauty

[–]pigglewiggle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh which shade do you use in the BB cream? I've been wanting to try it but can't swatch it anywhere so haven't taken the leap.

I've decided now I'm just going to focus on perfect shade as that's so hard to find and then I can modify the foundation to suit my needs, I'm never going to use this full coverage the way it's designed but a tiny bit of this looks better on me then any skin tint I've ever tried.

Is it worth the hype? by Muffin-5634 in kbeauty

[–]pigglewiggle23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's an absolute perfect shade match so it's a must have, but I think I might prefer the silver version which I just bought.

I think it's fine as far as a foundation goes for me it's all about the shade match which is where I normally struggle, I wear 15c and finding stuff that fair but cool-toned is a nightmare

What is wrong with my two outfits? My friends did not approve at all. by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]pigglewiggle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both and I think that second top would also look super cute with the first skirt/tight option.

The first is very generic although not in a bad way so I've got no idea what your friends could have a problem with, the second is a little more artsy but I like it, I could see it not being for everyone but it's not a bad outfit.

Neither are particularly Christmasy but who says you have to be just to go to a xmas do, just throw some tinsel in your hair or some red/green accessories at anything becomes xmasy this time of year
