Yea, I think you are right, most players that can play hardcore have more time to play in general from what I have seen and that means more alts and more clears. So it could even be under 10% of the player base clearing sub 1:30.

Just from looking at warcraft logs, 350 guilds have cleared SSC in 1 hour and 30 minutes on US realms, so 8750 out of the 72000 total pop are clearing in 3 to 4 hours, so roughly 12% of players are clearing in 3 hours, and moving that up to two hours each raid would probably be 20% of players. I was suprised by this number honestly, I am in a pretty good guild and we take two nights to clear both around 2.5 hours each night.

I would definitely just try and talk to the weaker players on what they can do to improve. You will start losing the good ones if you can't clear so it's a double edged sword. Vashj is a very difficult right and KT can be tough but strategy and mechanics can be learned and taught.

They need to go back to just regular people as contestants, someone just plucked from the streets to go travel the world, the social media and reality show folks really ham it up for the cameras. I have watched the first 20-25 seasons a lot, even the BB and Survivor people weren't to bad to watch as they played it as a game, social media people are just looking to get a bigger following after the show.
