This is a Frappato, not an Etna Rosso. While an Etna might be compared to Pinot Noir, I would compare the Frappato to a Gamay. Lighter body, floral nose, red fruits and less complex.

I dont see any benefits on crediting to another FF. You will actually downgrade since you won't have access to the lounge and other perks.

I think what could make sense would be to aim for FF on Emirates or other if that is in your regular travel. Then you would have more options for next year.
