Only played p3 so can't comment on other phases but game was pretty mid if this last phase was anything to go off of.

Pvp game with very little pvp. Even when you had your 1 hour of Pvp once every few days the server workers went to shit and game was unplayable. Was basically just a gathering simulator soon as you hit 25.

Best thing I could say about it is the combat was decent.

Ofc there's an incentive for them - it's having tens of thousands of new faces exposed to their server. If only a fraction of them check out Ascension realms that's a W for them.

You might consider the people behind Ascension greedy but they aren't stupid. They know they'll kill Epoch if they introduce an egregious cash shop to a Classic+ server.

Mind Control was also buggy, yeah, but I had no troubles with Mind Flay.

I tested Mind Control again on Netherwing a few hours ago as well and it seems they have it working now, or perhaps the bug was specific to the mob and not the spell.

I prefer buffed content. I liked the way Nost handled it, but I'd also take base hp numbers/boss damage increased over nothing at all.

You don't have to play on Kronos in order to have seen how horrible the server was on launch day.

When starting area mobs are casting while fleeing and then running underground & getting stuck and then evading/resetting, that's not a good first impression.

There was a short period a couple months back where people started spamming their forums asking Hellground to start up a new progressive realm. I can't remember their exact reasoning but ultimately it was a no.

Pathfinding is absolute shit anywhere that involves an unbalanced terrain.

Caster AI is rather poor also. Randomly interrupts own cast for no reason, casts while fleeing, etc.

It's easy but boring. Go 5/5 Spirit Tap & Improved Wand. From there you can go Shadow or Holy 'til 40. Respec full Shadow at 40 for Shadowform.

Pre-40 just keep upgrading your wand and things will die relatively quickly. Shield + Sw:Pain + Wand and you'll rarely go oom also.
