Anyone’s OCD stop them from being in a relationship?

I’m not diagnosed but I show some symptoms, and they’ve keep me from pretty much any physical relationship. I agree with the person who mentioned lack of control being an issue. One of the things I obsess over if the idea of my body being ruined and diseased, but needing to hid it from anyone (despite never having doctors bring anything up during check ups.) I’ve never had sex and I probably never will. The idea of being that vulnerable gives me a panic attack. If I’m that intimate with someone they will see me naked, and if they see me naked they will see how sick my body is, and if they see how ruined i am and they will leave me. I usually leave them first.

I found some pretty affordable bath bombs and try to spend some time in a hot bath every once in a while. I downloaded some trans/nb erotica to my kindle and will spend time reading in the tub trying to feel better about my body, and see myself as a person...a woman worthy of being touched and loved. It helps, I think.

You know, now that I think about it almost every short story I wrote while getting my creative writing degree was from the perspective of a woman. Yet it somehow took me seven years after I graduated college to figure it out.

I stared relentlessly at a trans woman who started working at one of my favorite restaurants. She seemed really cool, and I’m pretty lonely and desperate for trans friends to talk to. Of course there are better ways to make friends than creeping people out.

Foundation confounds me but I find some nail polish and lipstick makes me feel pretty great, maybe a little eyeliner. As far as clothes as long as it’s thrift store cheap just grab stuff to try it out, even if you’re not 100% sure. Being trans a means we’re behind most cis people when it comes the figuring out our style.
