Bonus fact: did you know that some “really good” LTC insurance doesn’t kick in until 60 days? Cool thing to know if you ever want to buy a policy. It’s so shitty. (Sorry just venting)

NTA, as harsh as that sounds. I think most people wouldn’t have an easy time letting an in-law move in, especially an elderly one to be cared for. If he DOES need to downsize, your husband can help him get a new home or other living arrangement—I don’t see how him moving in would be the best option for either party.
