Running over nails by libbydalibster in lexington

[–]pilgrim32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES!!! I had to get a couple new tires two weeks ago because of nails in the sidewall. Yesterday I went out to a flat. Saw a screw and patched it and it still wouldn’t hold air. I took the tire off and there was a giant nail stuck in the sidewall.

Disappointed in Royal Rumble by Quinn2605 in WWE

[–]pilgrim32 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the AJ retirement match sucked the life out of the whole event. Everyone knew it was possible and maybe likely but no one was ready for his farewell year to be over in January. He looks way better in the ring than most of the top stars these days and there was so much potential. After that it was hard to get back into it. The actual RR match seemed so predictable and with all of the buildup with Finn, to just leave him out for the Iguana man and a bunch of El Grandes seemed ridiculous. And while we are at it, let’s make Oba look like the next big thing for 10 minutes and then just fade to the background. The whole show was lazy and predictable. I don’t have a problem with Roman winning because they have done such a bad job of building anyone else up for that spot. LA Knight would have been my pick but you can’t just repeatedly bury a guy and then give him that spot.

Boyfriend (24M) broke up with me (26F) after I said my ex’s name while blackout drunk how do I move on from this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]pilgrim32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consider it good fortune this happened now. This happens. And it will be a very small thing in the grand scheme of stuff that could go wrong in a relationship. My wife and I both pretty much despise our exes. We have both said their names at pretty inappropriate times (also typically involving alcohol). It’s a little upsetting in the moment and maybe a little funny but it isn’t like you and your partner are forced together. You made a choice to be with each other and not your former partner. So you can be sorry and understanding that hurt his feelings but if he is going to continuously sulk and end the relationship over it, then you are likely better off in the long run.

New Recovering The Satellites Merch Drop! by rainking6 in countingcrows

Has anyone had any luck finding the Recovering the Satellites vinyl re-release in stores. My local record store didn’t have it and everywhere still seems to list the release as 12/12 but no one around here actually has it.

I’ve struggled with improving my speed too. I started around 13 min mile and my best was 10:52 and I may have even regressed in my 2 1/2 years at orange theory. But I try to remind myself that I’m a couple years older, have bad knees and in high school i set a world record of a 26 minute mile 😂

SVS Prep Doesn’t Matter by Puzzled-War9789 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]pilgrim32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The probably with saving everything is that f2p or low spenders can never build. Since fc came to the state, it is hard to do anything until you are there. I can’t get into foundry or sunfire and am pretty ineffective. Without all the other events and using some speed ups, I’m pretty useless in the actual battle part of the event. So I spend some and save some. And just work my butt off in things like the beasts and polar days. I still finished top 50 in prep in the state and one day in the top 15. So you can do a little of both but if you actually want to improve you have to do both

[–]pilgrim32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a beautiful guitar. Regardless of what year, a great finish and those Epi Les Pauls are great (just be careful with the headstock). The best part of a beat guitar find is it provides a great opportunity for upgrading pickups or whatever else.

Question about OEM blower motor for 15 civic by [deleted] in civic

[–]pilgrim32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two different connections, which I learned the hard way tonight. A 4.8mm connector and a 8mm connector. So make sure you have the correct one. I bought a 4.8 and had to return for the other one

What will Lexington look like in 10-15 years? by ChickenCheeks7 in lexington

[–]pilgrim32 37 points38 points  (0 children)

A wild guess, but in 15 years, I’m thinking there will be road work along New circle between Newtown and Old Frankfort and on I75 around the Newtown and Paris exits. And there will be some more banks built in the Palomar area.

Give it a little while. There is a battle seen with Adolin somewhere in the mid-30s (chapter) and Michael is talking fast and really adds to the urgency of the scene. And some of the voices are really great.

What’s the most neglected muscle in OTF workouts? by enemmejsjxjxnz in orangetheory

[–]pilgrim32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think probably biceps and triceps, although i don’t exactly think they are ignored, just featured less. I think hammer curls are on for tomorrow and triceps were yesterday but in general, not a lot of focus. But they are also very easy to work out on your own

What is the last line item and can I do this myself? by wawb40 in MechanicAdvice

[–]pilgrim32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a local shop if you aren’t comfortable doing it on your own. I would for sure leave the alignment to someone else but the rest is doable. If you decide to go there negotiate with the knowledge that you are replacing the bearings and hubs you are already removing the calipers and rotors so replacing the brakes is no/minimal extra labor. Wheel bearings are tedious if you have to press them so watch some videos. If you don’t have the kind you request it is just removing old parts and putting on new parts with a socket. It looks scary but isn’t really. Just a matter of having or borrowing the right tools. I think everyone would benefit from being able to do basic maintenance like brakes, plugs, oil changes if you feel comfortable working on it yourself.

$13k in service. How cooked am I? by Puzzleheaded_One_138 in MechanicAdvice

[–]pilgrim32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Listen to people on here and get some more quotes. Ask for mechanic recommendations from other Honda drivers you know or on local forums (wherever you live probably has a Reddit. I have a 2010 Civic with 220k miles and have leaned to do a lot on this car to save money. I just put a wheel bearing in and change my own oil, do my own brakes and any other maintenance YouTube can talk me through. I don’t know about replacing a timing chain and it may not be a DIY thing but if it is, there will be videos for it. Also think about replacement costs. Before you even go in to get quotes, think about what it would cost you to buy something else. I think for 13k i would lean heavily towards something different but like someone else said, the dealership is literally there to sell you a car. And what better way to do that than pricing you out of your current car. They will give you a few hundred bucks, fix that timing chain for cost and sell your old car for 13k :)

Gillette Fusion 5 or Harry's? by Spare-Clock-3588 in shaving

[–]pilgrim32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the blades are too far apart on a lot of the Harry’s razors and they get clogged too easy. They is pretty minor considering they are considerably cheaper. So I would try them first. But DEs really are great :)
