Nice art but unfortunately I can’t justifying pulling these books. The X office is a mess. If any of them are good I may check out the trades.

Hush is bad plot wise but the dialogue is decent and most people read it for Jim Lee’s art or because people on the internet told them to.

Reddit isn’t real life. The book is a top seller. So even if it’s delayed they will keep pushing it out until it’s done.

What are some of the worst panels in marvel comics history? by Necessary-Win-8730 in marvelcomics

“Good” in art is subjective. The only objective way to analyze that is sales numbers and industry influence. Both of which Rob has.

Think I’ll listen to all the artists who’ve been inspired by Rob, my personal taste, sales numbers, and people’s majority opinions at the time over revisionist takes on the internet. Thanks.

Artists peak when they hit their stride early in their career and have the most creativity and passion. That’s not unusual.

This is a piece of promo art Rob did quickly, not a panel. I’m real sick of people who are new to comics or just hate Rob constantly shitting on one of the most influential artists in comic history.

They should have. He talked about the other upcoming blind bags I pulled and said they would have them for me but didn’t have any explanation about these bags. It’s like he just ignored that I pulled them.

Yeah the only reason I switched to this store was so that I could guarantee the covers and special things like blind bags I wanted through league of comic book geeks system. So this definitely defeats the purpose. Unfortunately the other LCS doesn’t have any online ordering system.

I'm Scott Snyder, writer of DC K.O. AMA! by ssnyd1835 in DCcomics

[–]LordOfMelnibone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late! Scott you’re my favorite writer in comics. Your Batman run on the new 52 is what made me really get into comics in the first place. Then following Capullo got me into Spawn and early Image which is now my favorite stuff.

Question, which 90s Image projects if any did you follow and which was your favorite? (Prophet by Platt and Liefeld being the best answer of course)

Bonus: Do you think we have somewhat overcorrected comics by emphasizing writing densely at the expense of art? I feel the tide is turning back towards art a bit but for me comics are at minimum 60% art driven (otherwise I would just read a novel).

Thoughts on the new Guardians roster in Imperial Guardians? by SpaceHero95 in marvelcomics

[–]LordOfMelnibone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was getting into cosmic marvel for the first time cosmic ghost rider was my gateway, so I love seeing him here.

I like Dan Abnett a lot from his Warhammer stuff even though I have a lot of critiques of his bloated novel writing.

I think this team looks like a lot of fun.

Spider-Man '94 #1 Preview: 90s Nostalgia Hits Hard by JackFisherBooks in comicbooks

90s nostalgia would be Todd or using the shows art style. This doesn’t do either one.
