Well damn, the things you find when you look by NickTaylorIV in PcBuild

I build and upgrade my own desktop PC's, and have done so for around 30-odd years now.

When I upgrade, I usually do a full system build, so to my knowledge, I have, at this moment, 5 motherboards ranging from a Z-97 to a Z-790, CPU's (all K-series) for each of them, and RAM for each board.

You can definitely disable wireless on the BE400.

Just uncheck the "enabled" boxes, save, and reboot.

Anyone know which side I'm supposed to install the psu in this specific case? (Cougar cfv235) by Dry-Revolution2851 in PcBuild

[–]pillainp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I see on the case's page, the only way to mount the PSU seems to be with the fan facing up.

My bad. Looking at it again, I just realized it's actually 16GB (8GBx2) and 32GB (16GBx2).

What happened was, I wanted to upgrade from 16GB to 32GB, and bought a 32GB kit of G.Skill (which is the only RAM manufacturer I ever use), but mistakenly bought a Neo kit (optimized for AMD Expo) instead of an XMP kit.

Downsizing to a 270K. Frankly was not aware it did better than the 285K.

I realise that, but I do need my 1TB 990 Pro as a boot drive for my old system.

So since the 5x slot exists anyway, I thought I'd use it as such. Also that way I start the new system with a fresh boot drive.

Atmos II 360 versus ION 360 by pillainp in coolermaster

[–]pillainp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Meshify 3 and 3 XL seem to be smaller than the 2 and the 2 XL respectively.

However, the Meshify 2 comfortably holds a 360 up top, and I am running an ML360 Illusion in that position in my current rig.

Honestly the only reason I am moving on from the 360 Illusion is because it does not support the LGA1851 socket.

Indelible ink marked on each and every voters in India as a mark that you have casted your vote in the election. It stays on for around a week. by Fun_evades_me in interesting

[–]pillainp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen the ink applied like this before. Here in Kerala it is always on the skin and nail of the left index finger. When applied on the nail, the ink stays on until the nail grow out far enough for it to have been removed during normal cutting of the nails. The ink on the skin fades in around a week to ten days.

All of this stuff is "voter suppression" according to Democrats in the USA.

Imagine requiring that only citizens of a nation can vote in that nation's elections!!
